Sorry if i'm posting this in the wrong forum, but I would really like some suggestions. I've been buying American Eagle jeans since i was 12. I'm 32 now and feel like I've become too old to wear them. Maybe I'm just being silly, but can you guys recommend some other brands I can try out? I don't like super skinny styles and i'm not buying jeans that cost more than $70 a pair.

And I'm an Old Navy or Levi's via Amazon sort of guy. We're probably not the best guys to advise you. :) Although if I were, I'd advise that you're never too old to wear anything.

And, I'm a firm believer in 'jeans are work clothes', so I'm out, too.

:)

A chance to counter the predictable and embrace change that arrives with the ageing process.

After thirty jeans are a relic of our mis spent years. Embrace trousers, otherwise pants to our American brethren.

Endless youth is a fantasy of old fags determined to reveal their age with coloured hankies dangling in their rear pockets, as if to say that their endless search for satisfaction rests in their back pocket.

While understanding that age is a matter of perspective there is the thought that middle age spread is always best hidden, until the moment arrives when bulging flesh is a distraction that should never interrupt a spurt, or two.

Levi's are the classic.

And come in different fits.

I'm old enough to be your father, so as a child of the sixties I will forever be Levi Strauss's bitch. However I can recommend Uniqlo's selvedge denim which is high quality at a jaw-droppingly low price--selvedge normally costs a week's wages. I wear the slim fit, I'm slim but with slightly disproportionate buttocks and they do not make my bum look big. They don't have an arcuate on the back pocket and there's no leather patch, so if you're a label queen you might think they look a bit anonymous. But the fit and the quality of materials and manufacture are first rate. They seem to be what's called "raw" denim so you must give them a good soak before you start wearing them otherwise they will go threadbare in no time.

Two sites for denimistas:

I get my wranglers at the dreaded walmart for $9.00 a pair.

Have you got one of those strange round things in the back pocket?

Speak for yourself. I'm 54 and I don't bulge yet. If you've got it, flaunt it.

P.S. I just noticed Uniqlo are doing WHITE selvedge slim fit this spring. Let the good times roll!

Would that include Superman or Spiderman briefs?

I wear Levis 511. I'm in my 60's, but I'm still pretty slim. Nice slim cut without being too skinny a fit for an adult.

Get you jeans from the dumpster or from a thrift shop if you´re worried that dumpster diving is illegal where you live.

i always like a slim fitting myself, seems to bridge the gap between silly skinny ones and baggy. Not a big fan of baggy jeans. Would recommend amazon tbh as long as u know ur size. if ur not happy u can return them

I stopped wearing jeans when I retired but back to wearing them again cause I got a part time job in Home Construction. I've been wearing pants from Dockers when I am not at work and like the tight fit.

Not sure if its ur sort of thing its a little different but i do like a nice pair of trackie bottoms :)
