Recap:
1. You were at a bar with coworkers
2. You were asked if you were a virgin
3. You said...

That's where you lost me. Explain more about what was said and how your coworkers responded.

I got lost at about the same place as you did.

Most of the time the short stories have been made so long that by the time I get midway through, I need a 5 minute walk outdoors, or a nap before I get to the punch line.

Your story has been made so short as to be completely inscrutable. I'm thinking the effects of the appletinis you were drinking all night hadn't worn off before you posted your thread?

PUI- posting while intoxicated. :-)

From what I can tell, OP admitted to having experimented with guys in some way shape or form, and is now looking to save face with his co-workers. Does he tell them that it was long ago during an "experimental phase", or does he just consider himself outed?

If that indeed is the question, B.

Well, now that you've come out of the closet - more or less - why try to jump back in? That'll just make you look gay AND insecure. :) Own it. Keep it.

Now it makes more sense.

You're out. It may take a while for things to settle down at work. But now you don't have to lie anymore.

Lex is right, as he so often is.

Humans have a tendency to follow. If you are confident and matter-of-fact about who you are, then chances are that people aren't going to make an issue of it- they'll follow your lead that this is just another thing about you that is no big deal. If you appear uncertain or insecure, then you send the subtle message that you're ashamed of it.

Gay people have nothing to be ashamed of.

Bigots and assholes, on the other hand, have a lot to be ashamed of.
