In my view it is a case of pure lust as far as your friend is concerned, obviously he has a very high sex drive and he has just taken the step to indulge in gay sex to satisfy his immediate sexual needs. Well he does have a high sex drive with women, but i know what we have goes way beyond that. We're extremely close and I've always seen our friendship as somewhat unique and special. I know he needs/wants me in his life as I'll probably be the most consistent presence he has (he had a rough childhood, can be a lot to handle for some people because of his drinking) and he knows that I know him better than anyone else, even his teenage girlfriend who has NO idea who he really is.

Well unfortunately sometimes we put up ith a lot of shit for someone we care about. His girlfriend has it worse...she's the one who keeps getting dumped for no reason and keeps taking it back. she thinks he's the most amazing thing that ever happened to her...she has no idea he got it up the ass and cheats on her with other girls.

Um, no, as hard as it may be to believe, it's actually all very true. It's been a year and a half of teasing and confusion, so I never thought it would EVER get to such a drastic point, but things sort of just exploded I guess. the whole experience was so surreal that I actually thought I was dreaming haha. But yes, it all really happened.

But to the OP he's playing you for the attention. I was guilty of that in my past and not proud of it. My advice dont play into it and let him ( if he does some dont) get his shit together on his sexuality before you even think about any involvement. Well, he definitely likes attention from ANYONE, and I know he'll never be my boyfriend or anything, but we DO have a very tight bond/connection that can't be denied. There is clearly something there, I just don't know what to do with it and I don't think he does either.
