Has anyone herd the new song by Nelly called Promiscuous? It kind of sounds like she's moving away from the kind of music she did in her past albums and going for a more mainstream sound. I really like it though.

I've heard it and wasn't very impressed. To me, it sounded like a desperate attempt to make up for her last album that flopped. Perhaps I'm wrong and it really is a true expression of her inspiration, but it just seems strange for her to change her sound THAT much.

I'm not a huge fan of her music, but I always admired how unique she was. So much for that.

Will need to listen. With luck though it's because it's a single and the album won't be so severe.

I've not yet heard it, but am looking forward to it.

When she first came out I resisted. There was too much commercialization and push to like her. So I just ignored her.
Once all the hype and push died down I realized that I did in fact like her music.
I liked her second album; more unique as Doctorsun said.

I guess time will tell if she has sacrificed her own style for popularity.

I like it....I don't love it.

I actually loved her "Folklore" album.

Heard it...I really like it. But yeah, it's a definite change from her old style. Maybe it's just this single but...I really hope she doesn't change her style. I almost didn't recognize her.

Though...Timbaland on the track is always a good thing.

I Love this new Nelly Furtado song it is a big break from her style but a good one. I thought she was Fregie from BEP when i first heard it but realized it was here. Can't wait to see the video hope she keeps this new style she has!

Well she had a baby. And in my opinion she did very well in keeping the weight off that most women get during/after pregnancy. And I've downloaded a lot of songs from her latest CD, including Promiscuous, and it is pretty unique. Plus it all has a good, fun beat that makes you wanna dance and party. Haha.

Uhh, thank God you don't have a womb.
That weight isn't a bad thing, it is a biological necessity. Part of that weight is the baby you know.

Okay. My bad. I was being stupid -_-'. Sorry. But she did lose weight AFTER she had the baby that some women find hard to get off.

I always thought she was pretty. I don't think she got any work done she just said that she wanted to change her look a little and make a record that was more fun because she was really inspired by hip-hop music.

I love this song and Nelly. I have her first 2 albums and I'll give anything Timbaland a try.

Has anyone seen the Verizon commercial for this song? They never reveal the title. I guess they don't want to promote a song called "Promiscuous." I thought it was a little funny.

(Woo-hoo! 400!:gogirl: )

I haven't ever listened to any of her music before, but once I hear "Promiscuous" I feel in love with it. I will definately check the full album out.
