Hey guys!

Just recently moved to north county from Orange County, so I know almost no one around here. =P Figured I'd join some type of gay community online to see who else is out there.

Umm, a little about myself...Turned 18 about a month ago, single, gay, completely out. I'm very interested in computers, phones, and techie stuff in general, and I'd love to be able to find some work in that field! I've always been pretty shy in person, so I've had some difficulty meeting new people. I'd like to get out more though, but I usually have trouble finding things to do and people to hang out with.

Anyway, that's enough for now, before I bore you all! Glad I found this place. =)
 
Welcome. Things will happen for you because you want them too. Being shy myself, it took a long time for me to be comfortable meeting people. You are in a better place at 18 than I was, so I'm confidant that by taking small, safe social risks you will be where you want to be soon.

I hope you're right! I'm not in school just yet, as finding work is my priority at the moment. I'm desperately needing some type of income to help support myself and pay for school once I start. I agree though, it's a good way to meet people, and so is finding a job. I just came back from a staffing agency, and they might have a position available in my city testing Facebook applications. I think this would be perfect for me, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for the input. =D
