Anybody else excited about the new AC/DC CD that's coming out? It's their 15th studio album and it's been 8 years since their last album. Two singles have been released: "Rock 'n Roll Train" and War Machine. Altogether is a total of 15 tracks. It will be released in the U.S. on October 21st.

Surprislingly I am!!!:=D:
Granted I haven't bought an AC/DC album since "The Razor's Edge" which was almost 20 years ago but this new one sounds like it might be worth a listen!
I'm more of a Bon Scott fan and EVERY album with Bon is a sheer classic!:=D:

MANY memories of "Back in Black"though with Brian Johnson.

Graduated from high school and PARTYING and this was the soundtrack to my generation!

I've seen them 3 times in concert and my first time was the "Back in Black" Tour which was CRAAAAZY!!!
Myself and a few friends tried getting in on the ground floor. MISTAKE!!![-X
It was general admission and when the doors opened...CHAOS!!!!

At one point I was being carried with the crowd and my feet weren't touching the floor!
This wasn't too long after The Who tragedy where 11 were crushed and THANKFULLY an arena attendant had a megaphone and told everyone to SLOOOOW down and not rush or there was going to be another tragedy...pretty scary but...."young and stupid!"
Of course the show was amazing and after about 60+ concerts it's up there in my personal best!!:=D:..|

Just hope the new one lives up to the hype!!!!

does their name stand for anything?

Yeah the name of the is band as in voltage and electricity = alternating current (AC), direct current (DC)

the religous right like ... but its not the name

After Christ (AC)/ devil comes (DC)

& of course

AC/DC as in bisexual going both ways. as was rumored Bonn Scott did thus the name had a masked meaning to those looking for such.

When I first heard a radio ad promoting this album, I thought they said, "The new AC/DC album - Black Guys!" I was like, "Huh?"

Available only at WalMart in America. That's...something. But then again, the new GnR will only be at Best Buy. That's the way now, I guess.

Listening to it now. Apart from track 2 - which was weak - its really good.

Brian Johnson reminds me of John Fogerty - amazing vocals that you just can't sing along to without ending up in hospital!

The album is decent -- but way too long. No need for 15 songs. A nice 10, or 11, tune LP would be perfect. It totally stands up to the last 3-4 AC/DC albums on the shelf, even if it won't be a must-keep in the CD rotation!

The real AC/DC though is...... their live show! Always great..... I'm gonna catch the world tour opener next week and then hopefully another 2-3. There's rumor that they may do stadium shows in the summer. An 18-month outing has already been publicized so they'll be all around the world and back.

Hope they do play a nice mix of songs from B.ICE in addition to the obvious favorites

They need to be playing at least 6 or 7 from the new album, otherwise it shows they they lack confidence in the material and are irrelevant (like Oasis).
