This is all leading up to the release of an album of new material - their first since 2002 - next year.

I love Ace of Base - there is always too much of a delay between album releases in my opinion. It's always a matter of years between releases.

I hope they tour with this Greatest Hits and new album on the way so I can see them live (!)

They're on tour right now. They've been touring since late 2007. They have plans for a more proper world tour next year, which supposedly includes North America.

By the way, they've indicated that the sound of Wheel Of Fortune 2009 is what we can expect from the new album next year. They're going back to their club roots and making much darker, dancier music this time around. And as of September 30, it's been six years since their last album, Da Capo, came out.

Linn leaving just killed it.

Linn left 11 years ago. Making it official hasn't changed anything. If anything, it'll save them money since they don't have to waste time photoshopping her into the group pictures anymore.

Linn did not leave 11 years ago. She's been on every album. Linn made the band. You cannot recreate that voice. Sorry.

So what's the deal with Linn??? Is she that crazy ass???

Talk about nut job

Ha, I love those songs, all on my mp3 player I still listen to them today

Linn left the spotlight in 1997. Her voice was used on Flowers/Cruel Summer and Da Capo, but she refused to promote those albums. Her refusal to participate drew negative attention to the band. I always adored Linn, but she only hurt the band by becoming such a recluse. I'm glad she has officially left. If she wasn't going to fully cooperate, it wasn't going to be worth having her record some vocals for the new album. What the band is doing now isn't about recreating or replacing Linn. It's about re-introducing themselves as a trio. The new release of Wheel Of Fortune shouldn't be considered an attempt to eliminate Linn from their history. The single and the Greatest Hits albums are being released only to close out their old record deal with Playground Music. They can now focus on the new album and moving on.

After 1997, she decided to step back from the spotlight. She never enjoyed being famous didn't like the direction the band was headed. She stopped promoting, had little participation in the music videos, and didn't even appear in group pictures for their third album. She had to be photoshopped in later. She continued to record with the band, contributing to their third album, their first compilation album, and then their fourth album, but still did not take part in the promotion for them. It was announced by the band last year that Linn had officially left.

Im still mad they didnt win the Best New Artist that year.

It feels like the haven't done anything in like 20 years

This new remix is great! Definitely buying it.

And yeah, Linn was on the previous albums, this new album will be the first without her... and she appeared in the videos... even if she wasn't singing her parts. It's always a pleasure to hear her amazing voice, she will be missed! I wish her all the best!

I think her decision has to be respected, she never wanted to be famous, stalked and attacked by crazy fans...

They've ben active for only 17 years anyway.
Their last single is from 2003 called "Unspeakable". Unfortunately, released only in Europe.

In a very recent interview, the band alluded to the possibility of replacing Linn in the future. It was far from confirming anything, but the interviewer asked if they planned on continuing as a trio or replacing Linn and basically the band said they were just going to see how things went and that for now, they're a trio.

Personally, I'm loving this reinvention the band is going through. They've never been this energetic or had this much enthusiasm. In that same interview, when the interviewer asked if the new album would have their reggae-pop sound, Ulf said maybe they'd go back to that on the next album. After six years of not knowing whether or not we'd ever hear new music from them, it's very, very nice to hear them mentioning the NEXT album when the new one hasn't even come out yet. As for replacing Linn, if that's where things take them, I'll welcome it.

Who knows, maybe Linn herself will come around one day.

There was 4 of them? I thought it was the guy, the brunette, and the blonde lol. Wow its been a long times since I've paid attention to them. I LOVE LIVING IN DANGER. Best song.

Linn has more possibility as a solo artist. She got tired when her personal work was overlooked by the heads of the record label. She wrote tons of songs of her own. She's a painter now.

I don't think Linn is going to be out of the music industry all together though. There are way too many opportunities.

It's amazing the interview they gave back in 2006, where Jenny said that Linn was at the forefront again, and how it was great not having to be the main singer any longer alone. Suddenly, everything changed. They were recording material at that time too. Linn was probably on the tracks. Either they've been scrapped, or she'll just be deleted.

She was at the front of the photos for their Greatest Hits album 8 years ago for America. It was really strange. Perhaps she wanted to take pride in what she had made.

This all came about when her sister and family were stabbed by a nutcase fan who broke into their house looking for her, not Jenny.

It would be nice if Linn would make some sort of public appearance again, but I don't think she'll ever professionally record music. I think she genuinely hated being famous. She has said that she "wanted to sing, not be a singer." If she ever were to make a comeback, I don't think she'd go solo. If anything, she may return to Ace Of Base one day. Afterall, Jenny and Jonas are her siblings. Besides, it's not like Ace Of Base will ever be that famous again.

For right now, I'm really excited about Ace Of Base the trio. This is the most energetic they've ever been. If Linn ever wants to come back, I'd certainly be all for it, but I'm not going to sit around missing her when the rest of the band is still making great music.

I just want the remix CD. They were pretty big in the early 90's. I was in my early 20's/teens and the gay bars played them out. I miss some of that early 90's dance music. It was fun. Does that make me old saying that? lol

I love them!!! I have their 'Platinum and Gold' CD and every song on there is kick ass. There music is so infectious.

I really like this new version of "Wheel of Fortune" :)

Gawd, last time I listened to Ace of Base, I was like 12. After just listening to some of their songs again, I'm surprised I still like them.
