Joe McGuiness has a new book out called The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin.

In it, he describes how the former republican governor of Alaska and former republican vice presidential candidate used cocaine and had an extra-marital affair with her husband's business partner lasting six months.

she once snorted cocaine "off an overturned 55-gallon oil drum while snowmobiling with pals."

Palin is alleged to have a fetish for African-American men and had sex with basketball star Glen Rice.

It was revealed 2008 that Palin's husband Todd, who was arrested for driving drunk in 1986 used cocaine a lot and was 'on the end of a straw plenty,' according to a long-term associate quoted in the McGinniss' book.

Is all of this true?

Is this traditional family values?

There will be a lot of talk about this!

The latest I heard is she had a thing for dark chocalate and had a night stand with footballer Glen Rice before she was married back when she was doing sportscasting. Supposedly he also confirmed it was true and the sound you will hear next is the door slamming on her "run" for the office after she loses some Tea Party support.

So if she's cool enough to use coke, I'll have to reconsider my opinion of her. She just gained about 39 cool points! ..|

Whoever knows or has known Sarah Palin and is planning on writing a book about her better do so quick...I fear that she is fast becoming passé. She knows this herself, hence why she's still consulting god on whether she should run for the presidency. Gotta s-t-r-e-t-c-h that last bit of lingering interest in her before it's over.

Until she "runs" again in 2016...](*,)

Look where the story originated... The National Enquirer

I knew the name Joe McGininss was familiar. He was the psycho creep who moved in next door to Palin. I really hope she sues him for libel.

You have to admit this is keeping her name in the media, but for the wrong reasons.

Once the spotlight starts to leave her there will be something else.

Is he a psycho creep because you disagree with him, or because he has committed libel? Let the trial begin! The aforementioned transgression took place two years ago. The case already should have gone to trial. Maybe Bob Bork has been too busy.

*The National Enquirer broke the John Edwards scandal, just for the record.

You use the word psycho way too often. Are you hiding something from us Norman?

now we're quoting the National Enquirer ;)

love it

sarah had not been the focal point of a thread in a while so it was indeed time

national enquirer

fuck, that's what I get for not using google

I was trying to think of another irrelevant failed VP candidate.

Most VPs are irrelevant anyway. It was John Nance Garner (one of FDR's veeps) who stated that "the vice presidency isn't worth a bucket of warm piss."

Everyone has a past and Ms. Palin uses the exact same things she's done against others. Typical politics (both parties). So many assholes.

That the National Enquirer report this reminds me of the saying, "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while."

Last year when I was teaching a program for local government officials as part of a contract to DHS, I got to spend some time in Alaska. A few things amazed me:

1. Sarah Palin bragged how she "sold the state plane on E-Bay." Well, that also meant she couldn't get to probably half of the state -- including the state capitol building. There are no highways in much of Alaska and those that are -- probably will be covered with feet of snow much of the year. Matter of fact, there are more pilot licenses in Alaska than driver's licenses.

2. Local government folks, including Wasilla, were not too fond of Ms. Palin.

3. When her popularity seems to wane, you suddenly see Queen Sarah take to her bus on some "secretive" cross-country tour. The news media eats it up and she plays them like a fiddle.

4. Were it not for FOX news, she would have even less of a profile. I don't think she'll run for president because there are so many questions that surround her -- not just these allegations. The fact she quit being governor of Alaska before her term ended, the bus tour abuse of National Park regulations, etc.

The Palin family has never had the money or "D list" ability that they seem to crave.

I can see the appeal.....
