What you think? Is a good acquisition?

It's a decent computer, If it's affordable for you then yes purchase it, I would probably want to upgrade to more Ram, perhaps atleast 1Gig, preferable 2gig, but that might just be personal preference.
Have fun with your new Computer!

A gig of ram is the new basic. hell my new laptop even has 2 gigs. no video card either? its an alright system for the money spent.

But as alot of people will say about computers in this forum (and any other tech forum) a computer (like a car) is not something you should scrimp on.

Personally, I think that is a little high, but i've not done the pay as you go thing for a while so i don't know if those prices are higher...i'm guessing they are. does someplace like tigerdirect or dell not have monthly payment plans or are maybe they are strictly credit cards?

I visited Dell web page and I have to pay Tax and Shipment, They give this example:

"For Portable a Dell Inspiron that you acquire with a value of US$ 1.000, a good one considered of the positions of shipment and tax from introduction to your country they are Shipment: US$ 208,00, Tax: US$ 252.95."
Total amount: US$ 1.460,92

Dell, has the option: Purchase Order (I don't know if it is the correct term) and is for clients approved by them.

It seems great if your running XP on it!

But id upgrade to Vista, as I have Windows Vista Basic and at 512mb its a bit slow! So yeah if you upgrade to Vista get at least 1GB Ram.

:D

I would like to upgrade the computer to 1 Gb ram or perhaps 4 Gb.
I'm not sure to upgrade to Vista or use Vista Transformation Pack 7.0

personally there have been security clames that windows vista is not that secure if i were you i would ot upgrade upgrade later on this year microsoft just released it

There were a lot of early reports before Vista went retail, that it was flawed and unsecure (mostly accusations made by Antivirus companies put off that they had to recode their products to work with Vista's completely new structure).

But most of that was all hype. I can't speak personally as to if it's "the most secure ever" but i can tell you this much, it is most certainly AS secure as XP, and probably more so. As with any new product it has it's issues, but it's been out in retail for quite a while now, and a lot of bugs have been worked out. The idea that it's buggy and dodgy and unsecure MAY have been true in the early release stages, but it's just not the case any more.
