Hello Matthew829, welcome to JUB. I was born in Northern N.J., and I have family that live in the Passaic & Paterson area. How far is that from Hoboken?
 
Paterson & Passaic are pretty close to Hoboken. With no traffic you can get there in about 15 minutes
 
i'm glad other people in here dont know where hoboken is either... im from jersey too but ive never been there
 
Great place to hang out when you are in your 20's. I head down to the bars in Hoboken quite often. I believe there are some gay bars but I have never been to them (I've never been in a gay bar and I'm afraid I will run into someone I know).

If you did, they'd be there for the same reason you were. Alternatively, you could claim you were there for the same reason they were!
 
hello i'm new to the site and from north jersey also...i have a few friends who are from hoboken...i will be there next weekend(!)
 
I was in hoboken last night! there are bars on every corner...the only thing i hate about hoboken is the traffic to get into it is always ridiculous and the parking is even worse...i had to park three blocks away in a parking garage after driving around for almost an hour looking for a spot!

Three blocks away is GREAT. But driving around looking for a spot on a Saturday night is to be expected; you need to invoke Squat, the Goddess of Parking. Simply chant "Squat, Squat, give me a spot" until you find a space.

Better: on Saturday night Hoboken is going to be horrendous. Park elsewhere (like Jersey City) and take the PATH to Hoboken. Works a lot better.
