New iMac

how is the screen Stacy?

glad your liking it
20" or 24"

I was playing with one at bestbuy a few weeks ago. If i had the money i would buy one so fast im so tired of xp and the freezing and etc

Good to hear you are liking it Stacy. I remember my first Mac, I was just the same. I loved everything about it from the stylish looks to the extremely easy setup. 18 months on, now with 3 Macs and I still love them.

Just remember if you have any questions, no matter how trivial, there are plenty of us on here who can help. :-)

I got mine yesterday and am loving it. I did a firewire transfer of info from my MacBook into the iMac, and it took some time, but it saved me from having to do a lot of setup of preferences and such afterward!

The screen on this thing is a beauty after coming from the 13" MacBook screen. To date, this is the largest-screened computer I've had, and I absolutely love it. I haven't had any problems with glare or reflection, even with track lighting in my living room.

Here's a pic of the family...iMac, iPhone (sitting in front of the iMac...hard to see because of its case), MacBook. Sorry about the messy state of the desk. I just got back to Miami a few days ago, so I haven't quite cleaned everything to my satisfaction yet!

OK, so here's another pic, but with a much cleaner desk this time around. I did a bit of cleaning last night, since I couldn't sleep. :)

I think the keyboard is fantastic. Of course, I may have a bit of a different experience since I came from exclusively using a MacBook for the last year. I really like the way the keyboard feels as you type on it, because you don't have to press down so hard on the keys for them to react. Also, as thin as the keyboard is, it feels really solid. It doesn't feel flimsy, and it doesn't move around at all while you're typing.

It took a little bit of adjusting at first, but now I feel really comfy typing on it. It's kind of weird getting used to the different order of the fn keys at the top of the keyboard, but that's just a matter of retraining my brain. Overall, I really like the keyboard more than the previous version.

Loved the messy desk it looked "lived in" When it is all tidy it looks too clinical, but those who know me will know that I am just making excuses for my failings. !oops!

I got a PowerBook G3 (old one!!!) it still working perfect. But I REALLY want to change it to the new iMac. I've heard that the new iMac got 1TB Hard Drive!!!!!! That's PERFECT

^ That's an option, not standard.

I'm not upgrading my iMac G5 just yet to the new iMac, I'll wait until it no longer functions. However, I do intend on getting a MacBook (mid-range) once Leopard has been released.

You should see a big speed difference. One of the guys here has a 14" iBook G4 933MHz and in spite of maxxing the memory and putting in a bigger and faster drive, it isn't very swift.
