NEW iPhone COOOL

Not while I'm an overload student. Besides those phones are ugly. I wouldn't want those ugly ass looking phones. Probably need a Mac in order to put songs on it.

Yeah...expensive, definitely. But really no better or worse than other phones in its category. And no...you can transfer music from either a Mac or a PC, like with an iPod, according to specs on the Apple site.

It looks very nice and very appealing but I'll wait until
a) it goes down in price
b) a wireless network in my area "officially"supports it

that thing is just fugly. they better have some killer features that my sony-ericsson walkman handy doesn't have.

I am definitely getting one. I'll just have to extend my contract with Cingular to get a discount, if one is available.

I already have an iPod but it's nice to have two in one, so then I can just keep my iPod at home and use it as a home stereo.

I was considering getting the Blackjack but I want something that uses iTunes, since I already have a SLVR, which I plan on giving to my sister.

I CANNOT WAIT!!!

*Pulls a stick out to push away the Apple fans*

Everybody wants to sue Apple, first Creative now Cisco.

What do you think separated at birth indeed

i must say though LG's design lately have been fantastic

MEh iPhone looks fun and all... but nah. Not hyped about it.

Sorry but Im not.

Ok, The Iphone impressed me Alot, :O) i've hated macs for years, but now i see the iphone & i see a step in the right direction. How simple. K.i.s.s. Keep it simple stupid is the idea what it must have be designed on. Simple touch screen interface. I'm not gonna lie I WANT ONE ! i could be wrong but i think it's gonna be 2007's biggest seller. screw windows vista. I hope this out sells windows vista that would shut microsoft up !

It's made by Apple, so I'll take a pass..
I use a phone to ring & text people. Not to be all flashy and fasionable.
Something new will be out and about a month after this release.

I was soooo excited about this when I saw the pics and specs and then saw it on the news, then swore like hell when they said it was NOT going to be released in Oz until 2008 !! WTF ?! Get me all excited and hard and then shoot my plane out of the sky why don' ya Apple ?! But in hinesight I suppose it's better to wait. Meanwhile I still gotta save up for an 80 G IPOD and the new IBOOK they released that has the built in camera now and a keyboard that has the single keys all raised up from the board.
I admit though it is pretty snazzy and knowing me I'll be buying it the minute it comes out and have the money to spare for it, but why the hell do us Aussies here have to wait a WHOLE FUCKIN YEAR before anyone else ? Service providers need to be ironed out for the phone capabilities or the ITV component ? What gives ?

At least you'll just have to wait a year. They didn't even mention when it's coming to Mexico. Probably 2009. Now that really sucks 'cause i knew this was coming so i sold my iPod Video 30GB so i could use the money to buy this new thing (I didn't know it was a phone) but now who knows how long i'll have to wait. I could go to USA and buy it but i still couldn't use it as a phone here in Mexico. Did I mention it REALLY REALLY SUCKs!

Well i am not an apple user, but it looks damn cool really. I only use my cell phone to call people and only do that rarely. i'm not a super connected person although i am really a gadget person...or at least at heart. ;) plus it's too expensive.

The price INCLUDES the two years service package (.mac, google mail server, and EDGE media). If you listened to the keynote carefully, you will have gotten that part. I haven't yet seen anything about the minutes and how they will be packaged, but they are separate from the iPhone package price.

The reason for the two year exclusive with Cingular (now ATTwireless) is the updates they had to make to their systems, hardware and infrastructure. Apple's iPhone is the only phone that is able to let you SELECT which voice or sms or e-mail messages you want to hear/see, all other cell phones give them to you in chronological order. I don't think any of you realize how major of a change this is. Not even Motorola, Nokia, Sony or LG were able to dictate such vast technical changes to providers. This is not a relabeled service, like Virgin, Disney..., this is a true partnership between a service provider and a hardware manufacturer. The investment that Apple and Cingular (ATTwireless) are making will drive the other providers to open their systems to new features. It is migrating, expanding and updating all of these features to the entire Cingular network that is part of the long "deliver" time.

On the market only hours before the first lawsuits begin.

(Cisco, apparently, already has an iPhone, and was in negotiations with Apple for rights to the name when Apple launched their product anyway).

I've seen news reports were Cisco lawyers admitted that they filed the lawsuit only to get negotiations to speed up.

There have also been suggestions from both sides that Cisco stalled the negotiations intentionally. Maybe they were waiting to see how high AAPL shares went, so they could figure out how much the wanted for the iPhone name licensing fee?

Note: Cisco's iPhone was only released two weeks before Apple's. The negotiations started well before that release. The Cisco iPhone, in no way competes with the Apple iPone, since it is a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) system, not a cell/mobile phone.

I'm buying three of the 8GB ones.

One for me, one for my BF and one for my brother.

when he got out of prison the other day, he wanted to head right over to get a new cell phone, and we kinda made him go with Cingular so he could get the phone in six months.

I can't wait.
