Re: New Kids On The Block reunion
The ONLY reason why I will take NKOTB over ANY Broke Straight Boys or any of the other boybands that came out is because at least NKOTB came together on their own and loved to sing. They were a young male vocal group, actually had talent, and were not considered a boyband (that term didn't show up hard core until Broke Straight Boys and Nsync) They were not manufactured and put together for the sole purpose of having five hot guys jump around stage (with maybe 1 or 2 who can actually sing *cough N'sync cough*.
The music scene right now is dead as hell anyway. Nothing but the same old stuff repackaged and shipped back out. I'd like to see these guys get back together and have some fun. VH-1 tried this earlier in the century, but it didn't come together because 2 of the members didn't want to go through with it. Now, it seems like its changed, and VH-1 only did it because it was VOTED ON for NKOTB to be brought back together. It was one of the highest rated episodes for that show.
So all that talk about nobody wanting this reunion is a no, no, no. If you don't want it, say YOU don't want it. Don't put that stigma on anyone else. Because obviously, as stated before, a lot of somebody had to want this in order for it to be happening.
