Well, the brain is the largest sex organ and our brain is in control of our dick whether we like it or not. Subconsciously, or maybe NOT so subconsciously, we may be shy but really, really like being nude AND being seen nude by others. So on the one hand we say we are shy about our nakedness in our conscious brain but our subconscious brain is still in control and is monitoring further reactions/actions. Nothing sexual actually happened so a full erection was never achieved because it wasn't "needed".
