I know we're only a couple weeks into the new year but are there any new songs, bands this year that you've discovered?

I bought "The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me"- Brand New and really like it!:=D:
There are like 6 songs on the cd that are really good.... "Degausser" and "Jesus" are some favs.

I have been playing "Phantom Limb"-The Shins.....first heard the song on SNL last week and immediately liked it.

Also "Heavenly Day"- Patty Griffin....BIG fan of hers and I'm looking forward to her new cd coming out next month!
 
Although I bought their Cd back in Oct. of '06 I recently heard The Jets "Shine On" on the radio and It's been running through my head!
I also discovered this song "Here In Your Arms" by hellogoodbye that I really like!..|
 
Yep - I'm gonna stick my neck out and say these guy will be a slow burner during 2007 ..| (though they could work on their videos, IMHO)

Chris Daugtry's album is really good!

Plus, Kathrine McPhee's debut album is now avaliable to stream on VH1, and it
s the best debut album from an AI person (yes, better than Carrie IMO). Really, it's good, can't wait till it comes out, so can blast it in my car!

I've been hearing this tune "Young Folks" by Peter, Bjorn & John that I find myself whistling!
It's also referred to as the "whistle" song!..|
 
I actually just downloaded "Young Folks" and I really like it. If I could whistle, then I would whistle to it.

I love Brand New. Their new cd is really good. I'm going to see them in concert in April.

I just picked up the new Shins cd and it's really good. Not one bad song on there.

Waiting for The Shins to go on sale at Best Buy or Target...that's the onlp places I buy my cd's.......I'm a tight ass....what can I say???????:rolleyes:

This one was "iffy"....they've been compared to the Smashing Pumpkins and I kept hearing "Lazy Eye" on college radio and was lovin it so about a month ago I FINALLY bought "Carnavas" by them and LOVE IT!!!!!:=D: :=D:
Track 6 is the only song that I don't think is outstanding but it's growin on me like wood!

Buy this CD NOW!!!!!!!..|

Anberlin - Cities (i bought their cd i believe this is their 3rd but) wow i'm bought to get their previous cd before this one. I've listened to it like 5 times in the past 2 days.


Take That - Beautiful World (very nice)

Utada Hikaru - Ultra Blue (that's my girl and this cd is just as hot as her previous one Exodus)

OMG Amberlin yeah it rocks.

The Used, Marylin Manson, Good Charlotte, Avenged Sevenfold all have new albums coming out yay!!!!!!!!! 2007 is gonna rock !
 
It's probably not post January, but I discovered Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right" and I absolutely love it.
