Freddy's Dead I am wacthing which is pretty good for it's days, how many Nightmare's r there, and the remake of the first Nightmare who will bedirecting it? It would be nice if Rob Zombir did it.

There are eight entries in the Nightmare on Elm Street series (counting Freddy vs. Jason).

According to IMDb, there's no director attached to the film yet.

And I'd hope that it doesn't turn out to be Rob Zombie, considering the way that he destroyed Halloween. He obviously had no grasp of what made the original so great... The nuances, the subtlety, the suspense. His remake flew in the face of all that made the 1978 version into the classic that it is today.

Halloween 2007 was alright, I agree it's not as good as the original but it was different and was certainly better than the majority of the Halloween sequels that came after (with the exception of perhaps Halloween 2). My biggest gripe about the Halloween remake was that it focused too much on the back story and then the remake part just flew by like the Concorde.

There's only one person to be Freddy Kruger and that's Robert England.. I don't watch Horror Movies anymore, but if this has Robert I just may need to watch an up dated Nightmare.

whens the remake gonna hit theaters? next halloween?

I love the 'Nightmare on Elm Street' series but I think that the 'Halloween' series trumps every thriller movie series out there (except for Halloween III...lame) they are so awesome! Gives me nightmares every time i see it!
