New Shaver for xmas. Any advice or reviews about yours?

Just wanted to update this.

I have my new shaver. I went with the Panasonic ES8109S. It's a great price but has the same high motor speed and cleaner, and technology as the top of the line one. I really don't know the difference between them except that this was on sale for $100 at xmas as opposed to the 8228, which was over $200.

I quite like it. It hurts MUCH less than my old Braun 3600. Wet shaving is much better. When the hair is wet and softer, it's so much easier to go against the grain (which is recommended with this).

I don't see the point of the cleaning stands. It looks and feels the same if I rinse it with soap & water. I guess the advantage is just dropping it in and having it charge instead of having to plug it in.

The only downside of it is that it doesn't work well on long hairs that lay flat. The sideburns trimmer is quite sharp, so it's not good for getting those long hairs. It just requires shaving often enough that they don't get really long (which is like less than 4 days for me).

I'm muuuuch happier with this one though. The pain is much less and I'm actually able to shave often enough that people won't keep asking me if I'm growing a beard.
