Some people asked for this before, and since it isn't that hard to implement - here they are: Spoiler tags.

If you want to write something for example about the ending of a movie not everybody has seen yet, you can use the Spoiler tags to hide the text so that somebody could not accidentally read it

To "hide" something in spoiler tags use
HTML:
Yourtext
Umm...

Wouldn't it be just as effective to select white print on white background?

or green on green? or yellow on yellow?
i thought light blue on light blue fits the standard forum colors best ;)

No, I mean that anyone could do this without the need for spoiler tags...
...just by changing the font colour like this...
...if you see what I mean.;)

*NB: use your mouse to highlight the "blank line" between the two (visible) lines of text above.*

Well, yes, but his way is more convenient - for one, it actually tells you where the spoilers are. I didn't spot yours until you mentioned it later on.

How kewl is that? I'm gonna have to try this out sometime on another thread ..|

Some boards have the spoiler tags with a little button you click to expand the post so you see the spoilers. I find that way easier and works with any skin (although the above may also work). With these ones...

there's a very very rare chance you may accidentally CTRL+A the page

and the other way is also good for hiding spoilerish pictures and other stuff.

Yeah, I've seen the spoiler button on other boards too. It's a little DHTML script and a bit more comfortable to use.

DUH! is there a way to do this with pictures in my pictures folder on my 'puter? trying to hide 'em from prying eyes.
