here are mine...

i am going to try to not use the words all and every in conjunction with the words republican and conservatives.

I'll try to post a few threads a week that discuss my views in a positive way without negatively describing the oposition perpective.

I'll try harder to let you all know that even though i often disagree with some of you, i always respect you and your right to express your opinions.

I'd like to see more intellectual threads. I've been doing some reading on the "missing amendment" that I'd like to do a thread on. It isn't exactly curent (pre-civil war) what it has some interesting ramifications for the present.

My new years resolution for the CE&P forum would be to post more.....

Its going to be an interesting year with the upcoming presidential election.

I read almost all the threads and generally don't respond because I feel that either any input/insight I could give has already been given; or, I'm just not smart enough to be in "this conversation".

I like your ideas expressed here. My wish is that we will broaden the number of participants in this thread as we go into 2007.

I plan to post more myself, and do hope we can have more members who express rational well thought out posts. Nothing wrong with emotion as long as it is respectful.

To keep a sense of good will....to try and be fair and respect others.I don't like to see any side make their posts and responses personal,and I have tried never to tear down anyone ,keep my disagreements respectful towards the other side.I haven't always succeeded...but I really try to keep to a civil dialogue and resolve to continue to do so.I would like to see more thoughts outside the box politically from all sides....have more people willing to come from fresher,more creative perspectives and talk about issues that don't neatly fit political partisan considerations as well as our usual debating.I just resolve that I want to help make this place consistently professional and engaging,informative and entertaining.I want us never to think we can't do better for ourselves,because there is much that I respect even in my more liberal friends here like yourself,Dreu...Building bridges and communication does much more good than any side burning their bridges.

Well,it's always good to keep motivating oneself to keep striving to maintain and better one's standards,and hoping that others will be moved to do the same.Especially on the days you read the threads and want to pull your hair out!

1 - lose the 5 lbs or so I gained over the holidays - lots of eating/drinking while away

2 - get to know some of these potential presidential candidates a little better - more reading on what their positions are

3 - try to get the 90/10 rule to 75/25 - recruit some mainstreamers to check out CE&P

4 - at some point, take Alfie off ignore - not right away mind u

5 - watch for andreus above to follow up on his resolutions - they're good ones - if he can do it, so can I - he makes it sound pretty easy - not so sure - but that's what resolutions are for right?

I should have posted way before this. But I'll try.
I will write my posts in Notepad and read and reread before I post.
I've been too easy to be pulled into some posts. I will not be baitable or is it I will become debaitable. I mean I need to research links to see what I am actually saying. Of course that makes no sense at all.
