Mets Lets Go 2015
What a freakin disaster last night’s game was…just pitiful. I mean how many errors did they commit anyways? More than they scored runs that’s how many.
So much for finishing over .500 last night was our 82nd loss of 2010 so it ain’t gonna happen. Just so you know as far as finishing with a wining over .500 we are 25-49 since the first season.
Gee was not terrible he allowed 4 runs two of earned and two of em a gift from Reyes and that bad bad error. His command was not all that great I thought he gave up too may hits. I liked that he went fairly deep into the game, not sure why Manual pulled him the result of which ended up killing us.
Then…oh my that ninth inning, good grief. Just after Gary Cohen had said ho well the Mets defense had been, they must have heard him and decided to prove him wrong cause that ninth was one of the worst I have seen them play. Reyes, Thole, Wright and Davis all turned into sloppy inept baseball players all at the same time right before our yes, damn that was ugly.
At least Duda and Carter gave us a few bright spots to hang on to, that kid Carter has been awesome in the pinch hitting role, now if he could just learn to throw the ball and run faster. No worries…he will.
But on to better stuff, Nick Evans is fine, his MRI came back negative. Actually although he felt a bit stiff when he woke up, as the day went on yesterday he started to feel a lot better, moving his arm around his rage of motion improved thru out the day. He took the day off no work out no BP just rested yesterday. Today he going to the park for some work out maybe BP and talk to Ray Ramirez and Jerry Manual about what he could do these last three days. Nick wants to play or at the very least pinch hit. Trouble is the Nats have a righty on the mound all three games and Manual might go with Carter and Duda we will have to see if Nick can talk Jerry into letting him play.
Nick is not injury prone so this came out of nowhere still don’t know what he experienced but some sort of strain how he did it is a mystery. Nick did have a problem back in ’08 with a strained forearm and we know what caused that, but that’s about it although it kept him out for about five days.
Soooo just three more games left to bad the games have been so lousy but at least we are getting a chance to see guys like Evans, Carter, Duda and Gee shows us what they have. I am lovin that.
Since obviously theses last three games are meaningless I think the Mets could turn them into something more meaningful by giving guys like Reyes and Wright the rest of the season off. Beltran is already done so why not the rest the others as well. Let Evans Carter and Duda play every day, let em loose, let em show us more of what they can do. I know it will be more fun than watching Reyes and Wright fumble around out there at least that’s what I’d like to see. I would not mind seeing more of Mike Nickeas as well haven’t seen enough of him to figure him out, Blanco can sit. Hey, I love David and Jose but they don’t need to play as much as those other kids
So Put em in couch.
