at least the black ones are looking "ok". if i needed a new one i would maybe buy this one since i prefer microsoft over apple anytime. :-)

I love the Zune don't get me wrong. But the only thing stopping me from buying one for myself is the fact I can't link it to my Macbook pro and sync it with iTunes. But meh, Microsoft and Mac never have got along, so I'll stick with my iPod touch.
*cuddles with iPod touch*:p

also everyone with an old zune gets all the updates in the firmware as well which is great to see ..|

even if this dosen't release world wide i will be importing one it looks really good i mean it looks nice the interface looks great to and that screen is huge

did they thin out the HD based one at all?? all I can remember from the old zune is fat and feature lacking. From what I can tell they fixed at least one of these things, but what about thickness? any word?

um.. who cares?

Those things are just silly and kinda pointless. iPod or nothing for me, thanks.

yes they did it is almost the exact same size as the ipod and the screen is huge compared to the ipod classic which is the same price just check out the pic above

it is 0.1 inch thicker than the classic 80gb and 0.26 of an inch taller and the basically the same width

the screen is 3.2 inches while the ipod classic is 2.5 inches

it is also coming with good headphones out of the box which is cool

its really what the first one should have been

thanks for that AJ, nice to know.

I'm beginning to get a little sick of my Creative Zen vision M. I'm still praying that creative comes out with a larger capicity player, and or thinner(even thinner then the new ZEN).

The ZVM is just to thick for me, If I'm gonna have something that thick, I may as well get a cowon PMP and just have every feature I'll ever want. and then get a nano for ultraportability.
but ZVM is so old, I'm just itching for a new device, the zune might be it, as I hate Itunes and they haven't "unlocked" the new ipods yet. And even if they do, do I really want a device that I have to hack to get it to work the way I want?

Anyway, thanx for that AJ.

I've been wanting a I was torn between the Zune Vision:M that plays everything but only 30g of space and the new iPod Classic that has 80g of space but you have to convert your vids into mpeg4. I've never had problems with the iTunes service but I have all of my movies in Divx (I use Dr.Divx to convert). Now the Zune 2 come out in Nov. also 80g so now I have to wait a few more weeks to see what's up with that player. I currently use a 20g portable hard drive to carry my music and videos around and I use VLC Media player to play movies on any computer.

does it support avi that i use in zvm? u know, the autogk format? im too lazy too converted it again...btw, is there any way i could buy a zune in sydney?

eBay is your friend ..|

umm zen vision does not support avi from what i read mpeg4 is what it is most likely in then it does as well as h.264 and WMV you wil just have to find out the exact codec used i guess
