What led me? Curiosity & a suggestion from an associate to try finding who and/or what I seek in a forum or posting something on a message board.

You're sounding rather vague. Are you looking for help understand what you want out of a relationship? This subforum would be better for netting you some answers.
There is a spirituality and philosophy subforum if you're trying to figure out some kind a world view you haven't quite defined yet.

I see you've identified yourself as straight. If what you're trying to figure out has to do with how you label yourself the people in the straight and bisexual subforum may be fairly insightful. Maybe you'll find someone similar that's already done whatever exploration they needed to that can set you on the right path.
