Newly Discovered Amateur Video of the Challenger Explosion

so sad....You are right guys, it's still hard to watch... The memory of that teacher come back to me...:(

It's hard to believe that this happened 24 years ago. I still remember where I was when this occured.

24 years later, and not only am I sad remembering exactly where I was when it happened, but now I want to smack the repetitive dumb-ass who taped the event.

I was in 5th grade, we were watching it on TV; it was a big deal at school because of the teacher going up.

24 years !! how time flies ...

This was one of those seminal events in history that was indelibly etched on the mind of a generation -- our parents can tell us exactly where they were when JFK was assassinated, we know where we were that horrible January morning in 1986. (I was standing in my parents' backyard in Florida watching the launch live, wrapped in my comforter because it was so cold, while the tv was turned up so I could hear the countdown and launch info.)

Frances "Dick" Scobee, Michael Smith, Judith Resnick, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Gregory Jarvis and Christa McAuliffe -- we remember and salute you.

I was wondering how many people died since then from either natural causes or
other causes ... maybe millions or billions ?

Yes, another indelible event. My secretary got me from lunch and I went back to my office. The peculiar design of the explosion makes this incident unique.
