Except not. Because Jolie should be confined to action movies, where she can just kind of smirk and be vaguely intimidating/vaguely sexy.

Basically, she's too vague for anything beyond the caliber of Wanted.

I'm guessing Riddler. He is one of the most famous five arch-enemies, and wasn't well-used in the earlier Batman movies, although not as badly wasted as Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face - the current Eckhart version made up for that.

I caught the cat reference also, but I don't know about Catwoman actually being featured....the Michelle Pfeiffer version was so supreme, and interesting, I'm not sure how they would match that in a new movie. Plus there is also the taint left from the Halle Berry disaster.

I don't see the likes of Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Clayface, etc., being a good fit for the realism Nolan is going for.

Well I know when Alfred gives his speech about the day coming where the Batman will reach his limits and that he hopes that it never happens....made me wish that they do the storyline of the Breaking of the Batman with Bane!! Not waste the poor guy like they did in Batman and Robin! :(

From what I've read/heard, I think it will either be Catwomen or the Riddler.

I think if they use the Riddler, they could have an appearance from the Scarecrow in the beginning, with a possible role further into the movie, being captured or killed, due to the Riddlers intervention, as one of his demented riddles.

Based on the theme that the next Batman is probably going to take (what with him now being viewed as a murderous villain ("on the books," at least), I guess the appropriate villain would have to be someone who can thematically play off of that. So I'm thinking someone who's kind of a brute, but smart enough to cause pretty awful crimes...I'm kind of guessing that the next film will have some sort of event similar to Jesus and Barabbas where the people have to choose which "criminal" they want to pardon...

A mob type, maybe? So perhaps someone like the Ventriloquist? I guess we can rule out the really campy/fantastical villains...but would the talking dummy be too camp, too?

I think Catwoman would make a nice side story, like a petty thief/love interest who can harbor Batman while/if he's on the run and in a tight spot.

And I'd actually like to see a GOOD Poison Ivy. I just felt like they didn't give Uma anything to work with and made Ivy way more camp than she has to be. At heart, she's an eco-terrorist before she got revamped with those plant powers.

yeah the new suit gave him more molbility and he can now move his head but it cost him the ability to block knives and stray bullets.

After feeling meh about Dark Knight bring back Scarecrow his cameo was one of the best parts of the film for me.

Harley Quinn is a sidekick. She's pointless without the Joker, and she's just not interesting enough to be the headline villain.

Catwoman could be okay, if done right.

It's all just rumours right now...won't put much faith into it. I don't expect we will hear much for the next 6 or 8 months.

I put no faith in any rumor of Jolie working with Nolan. She's not good enough of an actor. She's not terrible, but she's just not good. I dont' think he wants to make another mistake like Katie Holmes.

Yeah, Depp as Riddler & Jolie as Catwoman seem like the most obvious choices ever...hopefully they won't go that route, but they may if they want to (attempt) topping the success of The Dark Knight & bring in big (and IMO often overrated) names

I mean I like Jolie & Depp is just meh for me, but how many times can they do the femme fatal/eccentric weirdo thing? I'm choosing to have more faith in the casting department

I'll be pissed if they don't bring back catwoman. And even more so if they do and chose poor casting.

If they do the Penguin they should make him into an arms dealer. I think that would be cool. lol

I think Jolie would be terrible as Catwoman. It's just not her role, way too obvious, and boring. Bring someone in who's not an obvious sex bomb.

what about this...you know that actress from across the universe...the one that played the fake janis joplin...Dana Fuchs...shes tall and has that long curly hair...if she dyed it black she would look just like the catwoman from the long halloween book. and the fact that she pretty but a little bit fugly adds to the realism...i mean why would a bueatiful woman risk messing up her face climbing walls and shit? lol
