I have a glimmer of hope in my eyes this year.....

The Buffalo Bills are starting their season 2-0 for the first time since 1993!

We may actually have some hope of making the playoffs for the first time since 1999.

We have a dependable quarterback in Trent Edwards. I was very skeptical of him from day one. After the long line of disappointing QBs that succeeded Jim Kelly (Todd Collins, Rob Johnson, Drew Bledsoe, JP Losman), Trent appears to be the real thing! He knows how to make the right calls on the field, when to throw the ball, and how to connect with his talented bunch of young receivers. (You'll forgive me for purposely leaving Doug Flutie out of that failed QB list. He is still my all-time favorite QB, and actually did get the Bills to the playoffs in 1999).

I may actually go to see a game in person this year! GO, GO BUFFALO! :D

figured id get this bad boy up since it hasent already been done.

i like how seneca wallace (back up QB for seahawks), which is a better reciever, just got injured on sunday. were already without all our best receivers. its ok though cuz seattle will win nfc west.

and im waiting for the downfall of new england

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that, buddy. I have a feeling my Cardinals will dethrone your Seahawks this year. Whisenhunt made the right choice in picking Warner as the starting QB, it looks like Boldin will play at 100% this year, and if we can block for James & Hightower, the NFC West crown will be in Arizona this year. Besides, I think 9-7 will win the division.

Good thing the Pats lost Brady...not. I am looking forward to seeing what the Patriots can do without him however.

Too bad having Randy Moss on my fantasy football team means almost nothing now.

I know what you mean, Ronboy. I was so rooting for JP Losman to do well, at least he'll still look pretty on the sidelines holding a clipboard! Do you think they'll trade him or keep him? I've always rooted for Buffalo since the Marv Levy days, especially when Frank Reich played there. (Yum-yum!) I hope they do well. What's the deal about Buffalo playing in Toronto? I've heard a couple of things, is there a chance they could move up there?

So does anyone know where the Texans are playing cuz of Ike? I think their first game turned into their By week which leads me to a question for everyone. Advantage or disadvantage starting the year with a by week? I think its an advantage cuz they get an extra week to practice and look at tapes of everyone elses games. and more importantly they got their by week out of the way, so if they end up having a decent to good year, their rythem wont by compromised by the by.

Their first home game isn't scheduled until October 9th, and the stadium should be ready by then. I have heard though if the stadium isn't ready then they might play at Rice Stadium.

I'd say it is a big disadvantage to start with a bye. Teams are likely to change their playbook and strategy throughout the season from whatever preseason perception anyone had, so an extra week to study film on teams a ways away in the schedule doesn't mean anything. Also, I think having a break around the 10th-12th week is very helpful especially for teams in playoff contention.

haha we will have to see. Seattle should have beaten the cards though. the Rams should be an easy win on sunday.

I'm going to say it's a "slight" disadvantage to start off the season in a bye week. The teams have gotten "used to" having a bye week near the middle of the season, and it helps them to regroup and assess the teams direction.

I think they are talking about playing in Rice Stadium if Reliant isn't ready soon.

There's already a lot of AGSing going on. (That's "any given sunday".) Denver destroys Oakland in the home opener, and that supposedly showed that Denver was unstoppable and Oakland was the worst team in football. Then Oakland goes on to win big on the road, and Denver needs some last minute heroics to win at home...

These things drive oddsmakers insane, and make fanatical fans tear their hair out ("If you can beat THEM, why can't you beat THEM?!"). But they're great for casual fans like me. Despite the six-day buildup and pre-game analysis, I love simply not knowing. I love watching a game unfold. And it's boring as hell when it's already been figured out before the teams come out of the locker rooms.

I feel bad for Chargers fans.

Also, I can't believe I'm saying that as a Patriots fan.

Not sure if it was this commissioner or the last one, but whoever wanted parity sure is close to getting their wish. I definitely thought Oakland was the worst team ever after their first week loss, then they look decent against KC. My Cards have a decent shot against the Redskins this Sunday, they always play Washington tough.

I kinda feel bad for them too, but I feel worse that I didn't get a chance to watch that game. I think the Chargers are still okay starting off 0-2, especially with Brady out and the Colts not looking that dominant and the Jags starting off 0-2. This might be the season the AFC will not have a dominant team. Are the Steelers for real?

Yeah, I actually think parity is a good thing. The NLL (National Lacrosse League) has always said that's something they're shooting for, and they seem to be close. They've had a different league champion each of the last five years: Calgary, Toronto, Colorado, Rochester, Buffalo. And that's in a league with 12 or 13 teams. And the only "hapless" teams seem to be the brand new ones, who usually need a couple years to "get their bearings".

I think it's a positive thing for the NFL, too. Yeah, if your team is the 14-2 one every year, you're gonna be peeved that your team no longer dominates. But there will be 27 other teams with fans who are happy to be able to compete with you finally.

>>>Interacting is a the easy part. Getting into a bar when youre under 21 that isnt so easy.

ESPN Zone, Old Chicago, etc etc...

Well, we can all revel in the fact that the Chargers finally managed to put one in the win column by tearing a new asshole for the NY Jets. Even the might Brett Favre couldn't save that one!

Wow! Is Linehan trying to get himself fired? Benching Bulger for Trent Green? He should have just handed in his resignation. Sure, their season is over, but how is Trent Green going to help? I'm confused.

Broncos lose to the Chiefs? Eagles to the Bears? Cowboys lose at home to Washington? What the heck is going on? My picks for the week are gonna suck! At least the Chargers came back against Oakland. Will Kiffin be fired next?

^^^ i'm a bronco's fan and i'm in complete shock about the way they played yesterday. 2 fumbles and 2 INTs. and what happened to the defence...it gets worst every year..Larry Johnson 198 yrds..damn

Well as I answer this, the Bills are now 4-0, having made a come-from-behind win against the St. Louis Rams. It looks to me like they have learned how to win games in the third and fourth quarters.

Yes, JP is definitely eye-candy. He will go on to be a great quarterback with another team.

And Frank Reich.....YOWSA! I met him in person once. The cameras don't do justice to what a handsome guy he is! He's a genuinely nice guy too....

The Bills are playing a couple of games per season (one preseason and one regular) at the Rogers Centre (Skydome) in Toronto to supposedly expand the fan base in Southern Ontario. It's no secret that Ted Rogers, the Canadian Media Emperor, wants to buy the team and move it to Toronto. I just hope that Ralph Wilson's family doesn't sell the team once Mr. Wilson passes on (he is in his late 80's, but still an active owner).

Ronboy, the Bills look real good, I hope they have a good year, and with the AFC in turmoil, they have a legitimate shot. Although Jeff Fisher usually gets the most out of his teams. I remember watching an HBO special on Jim Kelly a few years back and they were interviewing Frank Reich, and he STILL looks so freakin' sexy! Damn...

My prediction for the game:

Buffalo - 24, Arizona - 27
