Nfl 2008-2009

yeah so that was fun sitting through again. sitting through the rain for 3 points? against san francisco?

sigh

after losing to cleveland and SF at home there is no way this team is good enough to get to the playoffs. Sucks but its the truth.

Amen to that , my friend.

The Bills' loss yesterday was entirely in their own hands. They messed up big time. Blame goes all around, from JP, who played terribly, (with his usual quota of 3 sacks per game) to Lindell missing 2 short-range field goals that he should have kicked perfectly, to the offense, who couldn't get anything going in the red zone, to Coach Jauron, who should not have his contract extended.

I have no doubt that they are out of the playoffs already, and will sitting out again this year.

Suck to be them......Sucks even more to be a Bills fan right now.....:grrr:

My Cards are really lucky to be in the NFC west. This year will be a building block for the future, I believe Whisenhunt is the right man to instill the attitude for them to be really good next year.

Not a fan of the Favre, but the previous 5 weeks they were Super Bowl bound, according to the sports media, but they lose a game and all of a sudden it's over?

The Giants seem to be for real, but will the Burress/Pierce mess have any effect on them for the rest of the season?

It doesn't look good for Romeo in Cleveland, but I think the GM should get the boot too!

:grrr:

so glad i turned down tickets to go to Toronto yesterday (wanted too actually but exam week at school cant be driving to toronto)

so shitty but i cant control it. defintely the most aggravating season i can ever remember watching, though. i wonder if its even worth going to watch them play the patriots week 17 anymore. maybe for the tailgate but thats it.

btw: rumor has it that JP is still holding onto a football somewhere.

I am so fed up with the Bills....

They had such potential, and such a great start.

Somewhere along the way, everything turned to crap.

I have always defended JP, but I can't anymore. He did himself in today...

i dont know what we can do though. obviously everyone is pulling their 'fire the coach!' card but i mean with edwards developing i hate switching coaches.

you see so many young qbs in the league switch coaches so many times and it really hampers their development. do we want to get rid of jauron when edwards is in his 2nd year? idk its so hard to say. i hate to say it but i probably give Jauron next year.

its probably up to ralph wilson to bring in some veteran talent to balance the young guns we have here now and create a winning team.

Dick Jauron has the one of the most talented groups of players in the NFL. Trent (and yes, even JP) hasn't yet met their potential. maybe Dick does deserve another year...like you, I really don't know....all I know is that it doesn't help matters when Mr. Wilson says to the media that his team lacks talent. There is a sore lack of veterans on the team. Guys like Lee Evans, Marshawn Lynch, and Trent Edwards are the future of this franchise. Look what adding Brett Favre did for the Jets......(although he could call it quits at any time).

It's up to Wilson to bring in players, though. He is the one writing the paychecks. He can't say to his staff 'oh go get some more talent' and follow that up with an empty checking account.

If he says there is veteran talent lacking on the roster, he needs to actively open his bank account to get those players here. He started doing that this year (Stroud, Mitchell) but needs to go add a decent WR next to Evans (Roscoe is a slot guy and Hardy sucks) and probably shore up the offensive line to open up Marshawn some holes. Look at Adrian Peterson in Minnesota, they both have a similar physical running style (although Peterson is faster). Peterson is on pace for 1800 yards this year. That's not all him, his offensive line is fantastic.

Jason Peters going to the pro bowl is a joke btw

and Favre sucks too. His extra veteran leadership is negated by his turnovers. The Jets aren't going to the playoffs.

He has the highest turnover rate of any NFL QB.

Sucking or not, he's filling stadium seats and generating interest in the Jets...

I agree though, they aren't going to the playoffs. While it pains me to say this, Miami will come on top of the AFC East.....

i know thats what i meant (cant tell if your agreeing with me or not sorry lol)

dont confuse marketability with playing ability though.

cant wait to see pro bowl ads this year

WATCH BRETT FAVRE SUIT UP FOR THE AFC AS HE TAKES ON THE NFC FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

such a joke he made the pro bowl. the nfl probably has the best system for the voting as well. he had a big majority in the fan voting but that only counts for 1/3.

I know it may seem like a long shot , but today I need the Bills to handle Denver , and I need my Chargers to pound Tampa. I know the Chargers have a lot stacked against them . They are playing an East coast team in the East , they have only won 2 road games one to Oakland and the other the Cheifs not very impressive. But anything is possible.

Bills 30

Broncos 23

Yup, there are still some life signs coming from the Buffalo Bills.....

im happy they took care of business, i think San Diego having a chance to get in the playoffs as a #4 seed is much more intriguing than Denver.

San Diego (if they take care of business) can defintely take Indy to the limit on their homefield.

While I wouldn't have minded the Bills losing out and finishing 6-10 for draft purposes, something about spoiling Denver's playoff hopes felt good last week. Now, if we can end our 80 game losing streak against the Pats and screw their playoff thoughts, that would make my year.

I like Jauron, but I wonder if he'll ever be more than a 7-9, 8-8, 9-7 coach. I'll give him 2 more years to do something, because I hate changing coaches every 3-4 years. But, Miami went from 1 win to 10 wins in one year. Our window is closing.

What are we looking at in the draft? Not sure when the guy will get taken, but the TE from Oklahoma, Gresham, is high on my want list. He's the next Tony Gonzalez.

Damnit Bret Favre, you and your three interceptions ruined the postseason for me before it even started.

The career of Brett Favre came to a fitting end today. I just wish someone on TV would say that. Favre is the most overrated QB in NFL history.

Patriots 13
Bills 0

A crushing loss in what has been a heartbreaking season....

Nine straight years of not making it to the playoffs...

The Bills have lost all but the first of their last twelve games with the Pats...

Yesterday's non-effort made the Bills look like they rolled over and died.

I was talking to my cousin today (who lives in Buffalo), and he, too, defended Coach Dick Jauron.

I don't know.....I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. He has a talented bunch of players. But he doesn't seem to know how to motivate or train them to play well.

I still think Mr. Ralph Wilson, owner of the Bills, interferes too much with the day-to-day management of this team.....

One bright note....The Bills are not the 0-16 Detroit Lions (sorry Lions fans.....):grrr:
