Nfl 2008-2009

I think you Bills fans who feel Jauron should get one more year are right. Edwards shows a lot of promise for being a good QB and he would benefit from the stability. I hope they do better next year. I have always had interest in the Bills, especially since the days of Frank Reich and I will never forget that Houston Oilers game when you fell behind 35-3 then came back. What a great game!

My Cardinals limped into the playoffs, and the fans are so ready for a letdown that there are still 5600 tickets available and the game is in danger of being blacked out locally. I have to agree that the Falcons are probably going to win. I just hope that improve our OL to help our RB next year. Hightower has a lot of potential, but we need guys to block for him and open up some holes. We could also benefit for some better play calling on the run.

Will it be the NY Giants vs the Colts in the Super Bowl this year? That's what I'm thinking.

Happy New Year to all my sports loving homos!

I think the Chargers-Colts winner will play the Giants in the SB. The only teams in the NFC that can beat the Giants are the Eagles and Panthers.

I am not a Jets fan so I said little about the collapse or Cowhers firing, but if it's not to late to add my thoughts, we know he was not the only reason for the Jets failure but I guess they gotta start somewhere, and he did do a pretty lousy job of it. He took a team that was 8-3 and with his lousy coaching managed to bring them down once again. He made lousy decisions, I mean look at that Seattle game for example, yeah that one, he made one bad call after another, I also remember that San Francisco game where after the kick they did not go for fourth and two on the SF 38, I mean, come on. But it was the Seattle game that got me thinking this guys gonna be toast soon. Another problem was his relationship, or I should lake of relationship, with Favre. Brett pretty much sucked; but there was something not quite right between Favre and Cowher.

Speaking of Favre, he can now take a backseat to Peyton Manning and make room for him atop the roster of NFL Most Valuable Players.
For the third time, Manning won the award, tying Favre as the only players in that category. This year
Manning was a landslide winner.

Glad I’m not a Jets fan, cause they just get worse and worse every year.

Psst, I think you mean Mangini. Cowher realized that these are the Jets and made sure we knew he wasn't interested before the back pages got too ridiculous. Remember when the Jets coach was Man-genious?

(!):badgrin::wave::=D:#-o:gogirl:..|

#-oYeah, I guess I had Cowher on the brain that day, poor bastard,
I got him fired before he even took the job

How bout Jones bashing Favre? That's just not cool.
We all know Favre threw only three interceptions in that game and I only remember two touchdown passes in the final five games.
Brett pretty much stunk up the field the last half of the season, but still you don't bad mouth your teammates in public like that.

Holy shit! I was just as shocked as everybody else. Don't get me wrong, I love my Cardinals but the way they limped into the playoffs didn't bode well for their 1st home playoff game in 61 years and Atlanta looked relatively sound. But WOW, did running the ball really "throw off" the Falcons game plan? I'm so freaking happy it's unbelievable. We have no chance against the Giants, but a slight chance against the Panthers. Anyways, they have exceeded everyones expectations in this post-season, so I'm happy, but just wait until next year! Hahahaha

The Jets. I think it's great how some of the players are blaming Favre for their collapse and his lack of being a team player. Is she going to put the Jets through the same drama that he put the Packers through last year? Mangini does have some blame for the way they played those last 5 games, but he was in a no-win situation. Imagine what the media & fans would have said if Mangini threw more than passed in those last games? I hope he gets one of the open positions and take his new team to the playoffs.

What the heck is the Chargers deal? Is it inconsistent coaching? Are they really an 8-8 team? They probably shouldn't fire Norv Turner, but if 'something happens' I think Mangini could do real well in SD.

OK, I spent 7 hours watching the games yesterday, and I'm ready for another 7 hours tonight! What a freak I am!

Enjoy the games, girls!
:p

Anybody would be better than Norv Turner in San Diego. I'm predicting the Chargers go 8-8 or 9-7 next year and Norv gets shown the door.

I think people like Mike Shanahan and Bill Cowher are waiting a year on coaching jobs because places like San Diego and Dallas may be open next year. Nobody is going to win in Cleveland, the Jets are the Jets, and the Lions? The Broncos job is a good one, and I think Pat Bowlen should have called Cowher right away. He'd have the power he wants, it's a market like Pittsburgh that doesn't bring much scrutiny outside of Denver, and they have players.

love how the chargers took out the colts.

i am so intrigued by every divisional round matchup. there is defintely no favorite this year. i could see all underdog teams winning their games.

i think it ends up baltimore vs pitt and giants/carolina but its so wide open.

Am I dreaming? Are the Cardinals really up 30-7 in the 4th quarter? At Carolina? I can't freakin' believe it! I hope I'm not jinxing them by posting here.

It is the day after and you were not dreaming. Final...33-13 Cardinals victory.
I kinda hope today will be a day of upsets too.;)

Arizona shutting down Carolina at home was awesome. Putting an end to Carolina's undefeated home streak. Fitzgerald is the man ! Now I just need the Chargers to go into Pittsburgh and handle the Steelers and I will be one happy man .

That was fun to watch. Fitzgerald played like a true professional.:-)
Now we will find out next week who are the baddest birds. Eagles or Cardinals?

I was hoping the Chargers would win too but it did'nt happen.:(
