NFL Playoffs 2012

Looks like I'll be watching the Super Bowl for the commercials this year as I hate both teams.

Ughhh it pains me to say it, but go Giants, I fucking guess.

Being half right is NOT what the crystal ball saw.

SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT.

Well then! Giants win. If those insufferable Patriots take it i'll burn something.

If the Giants win it, I'll burn.

I already feel like I just went through the Cruciatus curse over the last two weeks.

TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad:

I don't want EITHER of these fuckers winning!

You will burn in a special pit, Florida boy. :p

I'm not a big Giants fan, but I was happy to see them win. The Saints should have won last week, but the 49ers got lucky. It should be a good SuperBowl this year.

At the risk of sounding pollyanna-esque, I watched both games today and enjoyed both of them without having major dislike for any of the teams. Sometimes the NFC and AFC championship games are so good, the Super Bowl seems anticlimatic. I hope this doesn't happen this year.

If I were in national advertising, I'd be shitting in my pants since both SB teams are from the East coast. The advertising is so costly that losing an entire block of viewers must really be a bitch. In the past, the SB commercials have been entertaining, but there were enough poor ones last year that I may or may not pay any attention to them.

Sorry - I have no interest in the halftime show. Madonna is so eighties!

If sombody is clever, as a tribute to Steve Jobs the first MacIntosh ad (which debuted during a SB) should be run one more time. Just a thought.

That pats game was amazing. FYI for those morons watching Tyler do the national anthem: he had a teleprompter [insert Obama joke here] with the lyrics on it as after the Aguilera debacle last year, the NFL has a new policy that strictly says to keep "tradition of the anthem".

Brady had a horrible game, but then again, this is the first team they beat all season with a record of .500 or better. No TD passes and his dive into the end zone was just amazing. The last 3 minutes of the game were some of the most intense football I've ever seen. I will say if Flacco can consistently show the prowess like he did today next year, the Ravens should easily make it into the playoffs again.

I got home and started to watch the Giants-9ers game. As much as I wanted the 9ers to win, they did not play like they deserved to win. Smith went 2/13 on 3rd down conversions? I know the weather conditions were pretty bad (lol announcers saying it's cold in SF when it was a whopping 15F with thankfully no wind at Gillette) but when compared to Eli, the better team won.

I will take this as an aside. This is also why I love fields that still use real grass instead of astroturf. It's fun seeing guys slip and slide all over the place when the ground gets muddy.

I will also say this...there will be nominees all year but the first goat of the year award will go to Kyle WIlliams who fumbled the ball not once but twice.
