I frequently take naps after coming home from work. For some reason, this seems to be when I have the strangest dreams! Most of the time, I can't make any sense out of them, but I remember enough to know they were not pleasant.

Tonight's was especially frustrating because it kept jumping from one stressful situation to another with no connection what-so-ever. Ended with me falling down a flight of steps and then I woke up. Almost makes me not want to sleep sometimes! #-o

i know i have dreams but to be honest i don't ever remember them. and its been years since i last had a nightmare. maybe that's a good thing?

^That's great!

Yes, I often have nightmares. I'm usually fighting a murderer or demons.

I'm such a scaredy cat afterwards. I re-check that the doors are locked and then I the dog and run to Jason's room. I'm a wuss.

maybe stress and think too much?

I had nightmares when i was under 10 but rarely have nightmares now. Sometime have dreams about day to day living and not scary

I woke up last night with my heart hammering in my chest--I don't remember the dream but I was scared none the less.

^Which nipple has the ring? Is it lefty, righty, or both?

I'm sooo off topic.

are you in criminal law? if yes, thats explains it.

Do you take any medications like trazadone? They give you weird dreams. I have really weird dreams that creep me out. I can still pretty much remeber them when I wake up.

I have very vivid dreams when something exciting is going on in my life

sometimes they are whole stories that I recall almost like memories

They are usually re-workings of what just happened, or elements of the events mixed with fantastic (dreamlike) things

And I moan in my sleep when that happens!

If the excitement is bad, stress or bad news, I have really bad nightmares.

Luckily for me, my life have been pretty boring lately

but it's about to get interesting soon

I don't remember my dreams either unless they're stupid or surreal. I can remember the last nightmare I had though, it was awful. I was under a bridge and brisbane waters - the bay I live on - was full of mutliated dead bodies and I was fighting with a friend of mine who was trying to kill me like she'd killed everyone else.

that was a super dream.

I think stress has a lot to do with it. This particular dream was work related, and not in a good way.

I just wonder why these take place when I need a nap, and not during the night's "main sleep" time.

gmoney...sometimes your dreams can be a reflection of what's going on in your mind. I'm certainly no dream analyst but it could be that you have a lot on your mind right now, especially having just finished a day at work, which can be stressful. Could also be that you are feeling overwhelmed (fell down the steps) about some issue or issues in your life. The dream is just your minds way of showing you, sort of a "movie" of what it is processing at any given time. Other times it can be whimsical or even....erotic! While I wouldn't worry about it, perhaps some of the things I mention may mean something to you.

I find that when I have stressful dreams, I am stressed about something or a series of stresses is going on in my life. Just some food for thought.

I never have dreams about sex. I only have bad dreams. Just thought I'd share that with y'all.

I have nightmares every now and then but not nearly as many as I did when I was a little kid. If I do have a nightmare it almost always includes me falling off a building for some odd reason or being in a really uncomfortable situation.

Yes, I do...

Probably about five nights a week.

Most of them involve lightning or bolts of fire coming down from the sky. Sometimes tornados, sometimes jets dropping out of the clouds and crashing to the ground in fiery explosions.

Another common one is I'm walking along a sidewalk and I twist my ankle on the edge of the curb and fall into oncoming traffic.

As you might imagine, I often wake up more tired and panicked than when I went to sleep in the first place...

I don't have nightmares so much a unpleasant views of what might be.

My nightmares generally dwell too much into B-Movie camp to be frightening...

More over, I find that I generally have nonsensical dreams that are just a blur of random scenes spliced together, with random people and events...The fact that they're confusing just adds to the problem.

And I swear, I don't do drugs...but my dreams suggest otherwise.

Oh shit I didn't even see this thread.

Darn. Diddn't need to make that other thread then.

Yeah I used to.

If I go to bed with alot on my mind and I don't organize my thoughts and try to solve most of them before I go to bed I am fucking and usually wake up scared from a nightmare.

So I think everything through before I go to bed. I don't care if I stay up later because of that. It's better then feeling scared and paranoid the next day. Had a few recently but before that it's been a while.

Nightmares are annoying.

Dreams and nightmares are the brain's garbage disposal. A 'release' if you will. Some of them may not be very pleasant, but you need them to live. If you stop dreaming, you die.
