The new NIN album has been released as of yesterday. Anyone heard it yet around these parts??? I am halfway through the album and so far it is great! Took a while to download though as everyone was trying to get it. I love the direction Trent took for the distribution of this album. A big middle finger to the dinosaur record labels. Discuss!

maybe.....:(

Will probably grab it today, at some point to give it a listen..

I heard some of the tunes and liked it...|

I can't wait to hear the whole thing.

Based on the above comments (thanks guys), I decided to download it.

FIVE FREAKING HOURS TO DOWNLOAD???

Give me a few days and I will let you know what I think of it.

nope. Well, some, but they're not really lead vocals in any sense of the word.

I'm loving this album - my favourite tracks are 14-16 Ghosts II, 21 Ghosts III - hell, I love nearly all of them! (well, there's not a single one I DON'T like). Can't stop listening!

I'm getting used to it. A little dissapointed, was expecting NiN that I know and love. This is good, it is growing on me.

I'm glad Trent experimented and gave us something different. Although technically he has done songs similar to this. The instrumentals on "The Fragile" and "Still" for example. I've been listening to this a lot. Love it!

I'm glad that this distribution method has worked for him. I myself bought the $5 lossless download and then came to a quick decision and bought the ultra deluxe $300 version of the album before it sold out. :-)

Multi tracks are up for some of the Ghosts tracks for anyone who likes remixing at remix.nin.com

Great album, making half available free is just another example of Trent Reznor's neverending brilliance!

I am still waiting to hear Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D (Year Zero Remixed) the title being ANOTHER example of brilliance! I haven;t managed to download it anywhere and in stores it's $32!

I made do with The Limitless Potential, which is a FREE Open Source album of the best of fan remixes. They're really good. http://www.9inchnails.com/remixes/

Deluxe and ultra deluxe editions are being shipped out and I can't wait to have mine in my hands. Lots of things going on with NIN at the moment. The deluxe editions have 2 extra "ghosts" tracks, which are great by the way. There are also 2 other new songs that are available to d/l for free "discipline" and "echoplex" all this with a May 5 announcement. Maybe a new album/ep??? Presale tickets for the tour also coming up. This really is a great time to be a NIN fan. Well my bank account would disagree but it goes to support a great artist that Trent is. Exciting times indeed.:D

I have given it a few listens this morning and it is very good. Need more time to form a better opinion but I'm not hating anything I've listened to so far. Good times ahead!
