Nipple piercing?

Hi,

I find nipple piercings incredibly sex too I would love to have one of my nipples done (the left one - don't know why lol) but I have never had it done, for the exact same reason as you are experiencing - the pain

I have sensitive nipples anyway, so I can only imagine and wince at the pain a piercing would cause. But to answer your question, I would definitely go to a professional piercing studio. I've heard that ice cubes can numb the area, but I'm not sure I'd put my faith in frozen water - I'd rather trust a professional to be able to do it quickly and thus minimise the pain.

I constantly think about getting my nipple pierced, but I think I'm too worried about the pain to go through with it lol. But if you manage to get it done - I'd be very interested to hear how it went

I just had mine done about 2 months ago. There was SOME pain, but it didn't last long and it was worth it in the end. I'm even more sensitive now than I was before.

I agree, find a reputable piercing/tattoo parlor and go to town!!! You won't regret it.

ask people you know where they go theirs done, check for a tattoo/piercing artist who has piercings/tattoos of their own, they probably did them themselves.
you probably want a tattoo parlour, most of them do piercings aswell.

I got all my piercings done at the same place I got my tattoo, the guy who did it had every spare inch of skin covered in ink and piercings galour.....I instantly felt very safe in the knowledge that he knew what he was doing

piercers, judgemental? about what? its their job to pierce things! they wont judge you for what you want, where you want it or if you flinch at the pain (I watched a grown man cry while getting a belly ring)

what country/city are you in? maybe someone who knows where you are can make a suggestion

go in, meet the people who would be doing it, many of them have photo albums of tattoos/piercings that they have given other people, you can take a look at the place, ask them to explain what will actually happen if you need to, they dont mind!

I only ask location because if your in the UK and near me then I could tell you where I got mine done but its ok if you know where some are anyway

you will need an appointment for the actual piercing but you can drop by one and meet the people, see how the atmosphere strikes you, look at the people who work there! see if they have piercings, ask them how it felt, how long it took to heal, special after care etc.....

This is the correct location with good advice so far. I deleted the posted pic as it would have belonged in the naughty bits section and all of us here know what nipple piercings are.

I would agree that I would stop by the place and just observe and ask prior customers.

One thing to ask is to see if they use a new piercing package for each piercing they do. When I pierced my ear, I went with a friend. We both got pierced, and the piercer used a new needle for each of us. Both needles came in their own sealed, sterile packaging.

And if their autoclave is visible, it's also a good sign

Had both of my nipples pierced. It was painful for about 10 seconds, and sensitive for the next three or four days.
I am fortunate to live in Philly where there are any number of clean shops and none of them next door to a grade school!! LOL
Made sure they were clean, used gloves, and new equipment prior to laying in the chair.
I'm heading in for a PA this winter, just like tat's when you get your first you want to keep going back.

I'm giving up on trying to do it myself - tomorrow I'm going to stop by a local piercing shop and check them out, ask questions, and if I deem the place to be clean, I'll get an apointment. I'll post some pictures if/when I get it/them pierced, but it might be a while!

Good. You should NEVER pierce your own nipples (unless you're a professional, I guess).

yeah, piercing yourself leads to many many infected piercings.

not to mention serious risk of heavy blood loss! there is a reason there are professionals who pierce things.....its to stop you doing it yourself!

(FYI.....when I got mine done I had to sign a waiver, because of the size of the needle and the area to be pierced it was considered a minor surgery *eep* not something you should do yourself)

i had mine done. i only have one in at this time.

don't do it yourself. go to a professional; it's quick and easy.
