America already popped it's cherry where gunning down children is concerned, and it's lawmakers have already proved their inhumanity when nothing was done after Sandy Hook. It's a runaway train now.

Twenty bucks says the trans community will ostracize her, saying she's not one of them. It's what we (LGBTQ+ people) usually do when one of our own doesn't live up to "our" standards.

In fact, the same will happen as happened after the other school shootings. Some states will relax their gun laws even more and clamour for teachers to be armed.

Yeah. The same teachers that can't be trusted to recommend a book to their students.

It will always come back to 'More Guns Is the Answer' Because in the US it is the only thing they know.

Because America is a gun. Pointed at its own head.

Apparently more towns need to lose kids. Lots more kids.

We don't seem to have lost enough to make voters care yet.

The news business cares. It's really great for them.

A vulnerable transgender student enrolled in a private Christian school in Nashville, TN.

Not too hard to figure out what went wrong there, is it?

That doesn't seem as easily surmised. There are reports that the shooter originally chose a different school but changed her plan.

Additionally, there have been comments that the shooter has been out of school for a decade, so kind of late for that axe to be ground.

It is affiliated with Covenant Presbyterian. No idea which slice of Presbyterian that is, but even their conservative sects are less conservative than the Evangelicals.

I researched a bit. Covenant Presbyterian Church is a PCA church. They are an evangelical offshoot of the Presbyterians, and they don't go back very far in time. They split off as the Presbyterian USA Church became too progressive for more conservative members.

The Nashville congregregation suffered a fracas in 2015-6 as a faction forced out their pastor, a man who had been leading there for over 20 years and had grown the congregation from 40 to over 2,000.

When the pastor was fired, 375 members left.

So, there is an outside possibility that this shooter is part of the fallout of that split. May not be about being transgender.

It's easy to surmise that he/she (who seems to have gone back and forth), seemingly a suicidal nutcase--perhaps made further crazy by the drugs transsexuals need to take to better serve the illusion that what they think they are is what they are--was inspired to attack a Christian school by the vitriol and hatred directed against Christians in general and Fundamentalist Christians in particular by the radical transsexual lobby and their fellow travelers gay and straight.

JUB has a recurring post topic titled:

Funny anti-religious Internet pics

Does anyone mind? Have the moderators ever questioned the propriety of this?

Would the moderators find it acceptable to post the following topics?

Funny anti-black Internet pics,
Funny anti-Islamic Internet pics,
Funny anti-Mexican Internet pics, or
Funny antisemitic Internet pics.

Of course not, but I bet they'd seriously consider giving a pass to:

Funny anti-Catholic Internet pics,
Funny anti-white Internet pics.

Had the shooter killed patrons of a gay night club, we'd immediately be reading here and just about every place else that this was a hate crime. But a Fundamentalist Christian school? Silence here and just about every place else. Not simply silence, but the cynical quip, "an act of God."

Until I read facts that show otherwise, this was an anti-Christian hate crime.

I've been posting in the anti-religious pic thread since the day the long since departed Starcrasher started it.
I spare no religions in that thread.
Though, I must say, that there seems to be more Christian memes on the webz than the other religions.
I imagine that the reason for that could be that there's a less likely chance that one would be murdered for it here in the U.S.

It's pretty basic why the lampoons of Christianity dominate.

It's an English-speaking website. The vast majority of native English-speakers outside of India are Christians. India manages to be homophobic without being Christian, so that's a different thread.

Gays in America dominate JUB's postings. Politics and media in America dominate the majority of CE&P, even when Canadians are the commenters.

It has been trendy and chic to be sacrilegious and obscene about Christianity since gay rights took off in the 1960's. It was a way, often catty, of striking back at the perceived source of homophobia and repression. The assumption, in gay circles, was the same as in Christian circles, that you cannot be both. It was also similar to straight males' airing of homophobic comments, to push away any would-be gay men around them.

Gay men in the West are largely silent about Eastern religions and cultures due to broad ignorance about them. This often becomes a factor in thinking Christianity, and later Islam (in the popular mind) as the main sources of homophobia in the world, ignoring gay suppression in the Far East.

Finally, the intelligentsia of the West adopted rarefied variants of Buddhism beginning in the mid-19th century, and embraced them as less toxic religions-cum-philosophies, so never focused on the vast majority of Buddhist countries and their view of gays. Hinduism got a pass as the mother of Buddhism.

In the end, it's the devil you know. Bad boy snipes are no fun if no adherents are present to offend. Therefore, JUB slams Christianity most since it's blatantly obvious that many gays are yet religious, but don't post about it due to the clash.

Like a lot of internet flotsam, it's cheap and easy to celebrate the burning of a church, as long as it's not a black church. Whereas it happening in your own town would be an outrage, and no one would celebrate, it's edgy to post on JUB that it serves them right.

Well now we know the cause of mass shootings.

And thank God for thoughts and prayers.

This country is all about money -you can lie all the dead kids in a mountainous pile and the whore politicians would walk around it if a donor was on the other side giving out cash.

Religious affiliation is a choice. Race is not.
