It's a very odd feeling to remember something that caused a lot of comments when it first happened, but has no lasting impact today.

"Strange Way" is a 1978 song from Firefall. It's pretty, unless you listen to the lyrics. If you're a man with a cold heart - this is your song.
Plenty of opinions around the campus of Arizona State University where I was a student. Love the song/hate the song, in equal measure.
Radio DJ's were all over the map with this song, one went public with his decision to give airplay in order to keep his job.

Today, "Strange Way" is just another old song from the '70's. It still sounds beautiful to me, but the words read like a heart of stone!

I used to think 10CC's "I'm Not In Love" was an anti-love song until I was told otherwise. I never much cared for the song (too slow and spacious for me) so I never took the time to uncover it's subtext. Apparently, the narrator is disregarding or is unaware of the fact that he's still in love with his ex. I think.

Why was it that just about every pop and soft rock male singer in the 70's was a tenor?

I loved this...it was during my discovering homo literature as a teenager and Chaka Khan and a lot of other incredible music. And being told that 10cc was the average amount of spunk you shoot.

Weekends during my college years in the '70's always involved long evenings at South Mountain Park in Phoenix. Funny how I only heard "I'm Not In Love" late night under the stars in the sky and the city lights of Phoenix below. The setting seemed perfect for 10CC's hit song floating from all the parked cars and portable radios. The crowds always tuned to the same radio station so I got to hear "I'm Not In Love" via surround sound. Lots of great memories from my time in Arizona!
