Communities across the US and UK are getting behind No Mow May. It’s an initiative to help pollinators with early spring food sources. I’m completely onboard with this. I never spray dandelions in my yard, I don’t care what the neighbors think.

I'm still going to mow my lawn, lmao.

Have a back lawn that i leave during the winter and have a guy come out and mow 2-3 times a year, fuck wild life.

Last year the drought meant we had no mow May and it was fucking amazing what happened in the lawns.

We didn't have a lot of dandelions, but there were so many other plants that were literally buzzing with pollinators.

I will probably do the same this year since I don't see that our thick lawn grasses are going to really recover after 4 years of spring drought.

we never mow - we have both large front and back yards which are completely garden beds / landscaped with ZERO grass...

I'm afraid the municipality where I live would sic their code enforcement on me if I don't mow. In fact, they've already been after me for the last couple of months . Tall grass? I'm having a hard time telling if there's anything out there even GROWING (we're in our dry season). Oh, they must have a problem with the spotty Spanish needles out there. Spanish needles, for all you non-Floridians, is this plant with has all these tiny daisy-like flowers, with white petals and a yellow center. And oh yes, the bees and butterflies love them.

Our local council has been doing it for years. They just cut the first foot of verges so they don't bleed over onto the road

Thought this was gonna be a thread about not trimming your bush, not about not trimming your bushes
