In fairness, that is not an accurate descriptor of people who try to build a career in music, performance or the public eye.

I find it disgusting a studio would exploit a high school kid whether he's legal age or not. Someone like that isn't emotionally mature enough to know the consequences of his actions and Sean Cody is taking advantage of this kid's immaturity. Expecting a teenager in high school to perform in front of a camera, barebacking no less. It's borderline demonic. Put your life at risk for a thousand dollars.
Sean Cody is sleazy enough to do something like this as they've hired one of the nastiest lawyers on the face of the earth to protect their copyright.
These bottom dwellers don't care how many lives they ruin in the process, just as long as they exploit the naive for profit. They're counting on kids like this..... desperate and willing to do things to help out a rough family. Studios like Sean Cody will never get my money. I've seen studios like this before prey on the immature and down on their luck kids. One pornographer even admitted his cash cow was "a fucked up kid", but that didn't stop him from making a few thousand dollars off him. Talk to one of these pornographers and you'll see just how repulsive they are. It's no wonder people like Sean Cody hide their identities.
This is the ugly side of porn. If you believe those pretty models they seduce into barebacking for your entertainment are enjoying this, think again. They'll keep on exploiting these kids as long as they can make a buck.
Regarding this case, all this liberal BS of "it's his choice" is all bullshit. Does anyone here honestly think it was completely free will that he did porn? Being pressured into doing it either by parents or by dire financial situation ain't complete free will. Some people here are more deluded than I thought.
First of all, if you don't watch porn, then why are you on a gay porn website???
Because of the forums. There are more than a few of us who have no use for the porn side of the site. I was here a long time before I realized there even was porn here.
I barely use the porn part too. I'm here just for the forums as well.
Watching everyone come down on Sean Cody is hilarious, especially when their ads frequent the site on a regular.
Everyone wants to be moral now, but don't ever think of the stories of these men when they're busy stroking.
That's all well and good. But realistically it will not be perceived as a "civil right" no matter the result.
Just my opinion.
Oh, yes it will -- because if a college rejects him because he engaged in a legal activity, he'll be suing the school and getting a free education.
Two reasons why they would. Colleges are unapologetically liberal, i.e. forgiving of a past that perhaps would not be amenable to older more conservative schools of thought, i.e. porn is not the moral failure it was in the past, and two, they are wary of appearing prejudiced if say one were to reject him. The effect of such a ruling as in the case of the common law system we have in the United States would be more than just a win for this young man. It would be precedent for scrutinizing all gay rights cases were he to win an education discrimination case, but there is already such precedent, which is why I think he could and should win.
Ever seen a college rejection letter, though? Good luck ever knowing the real reason. You get a pro forma statement citing how many applicants they received and that they had to begin choosing students based on ??? reasons beyond GPA and such.
Edit: That being said, I can't possibly imagine how many admittance officers will see this kid's real name and immediately recognize him. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of straight people don't even know what seancody is.
At many colleges now the admittance officers don't see the kid's name anyway -- heck, when I was part of the acceptance committee for guys applying to live in the house I was at when at OSU, we didn't see their names.
And again, he can waste money at college if he wants, but he won't be getting a professional job. If he lies about his porn past he can be fired for that. If he tells the truth they won't hire him anyway. If you google his name (which HR people do) you'll see this story. This is a national news story, it isn't going to disappear from the internet.
He's best off trying to stay in the industry and maybe start his own porn company or something.
Lucky, it seems like you're injecting a lot of your own skepticism into the discussion. The man has legal rights that lawyers can successfully argue, regardless of how you think his image may be perceived.
