Of course that hasn't happened.......yet, but what is the worst news you've ever read or watched, perhaps it was the Kennedy assassination, Diana's car crash, the fall of the towers or something else ?

For me it has to be those magnificently horrific images of the plane going into the second tower before they both collapsed.

Your getting a bit carried away now with that title ;)

Funny funny....

911 was the most horrific event in my life so far. I still think about it and am like WTF?

For me it was the same thing. It's the only event that I can tell you exactly what I was doing at the time, the weather, who was around me.....

The first one was hearing of the assassination of John Kennedy. The second one was hearing of the assassination of Robert Kennedy. The third one was hearing of the two planes crashing into the World Trade Center and its collapse and the plane flying into the Pentagon and the plane still flying in Pennsylvania. The most recent one was hearing that Trump won the election.

When I was a kid I was walking home through High Park when I came across this guy walking his adorable little dog. I stopped and patted the mutt and chatted with the owner a minute before I continued on my way. Seconds later I heard screeching brakes and the shrieking howls of...the little dog. The yelping stopped and the guy started yelling, MY DOG! MY DOG! You killed my dog! I started bawling and just ran all the way home. I still can't get that little dog out of my head. 40 years later and I still shake when I see an unleashed dog walking down the street.

As far as worst 'overall' I'd have to say.. World Trade Center/9-11
And worst 'closest to home'.. Columbine shootings

Some natural disasters come to my mind, such as earthquakes and tsunamis. Both Kennedy assignations and MLK's.
It may seem odd, but the recent shootings in Las Vegas along with Sandy Hook and other home terrorist killings make me more angry
than the towers. We can't police the world, but we should police our own land.
