During my school years I became a fan of late night TV. These were the years when after midnight TV stations would show old movies.
Totally unplanned, I saw some of the most unusual movies when I should have been asleep for school.

The dysfunction of the family was stunning. While the youngest daughter was surrounded by a whirlwind, she was safe with her love of science in the calm eye of the storm.

I watched these old movies in early morning darkness. The television screen seemed to disappear and I was drawn into some of the greatest films in cinema.

I hear stories about kids faced with Grandma's dial p[hone and being puzzled about how to use it. :Perhaps Grandma should get a copy of directions from the early days of dial phones to put by the phone!
