Is it just me or does this song have no meaning or point whatsoever.

At least Unfaithful was about something.

This song sounds like its just about the actual game Russian Roulette.

I listened to it 10 times now and i cannot make a connection to the end of a relationship and Russian Roulette. I dont see the link or parallel.


She is literally just singing about Russian Roulette and all the emotions a person goes through when they are about to die.


Other than used as a movie soundtrack what is the point of this song?


It would have been so much better if Neyo made a connection with the end of a relationship and how it sometimes feels like Russian Roulette because you cant live without the person?


This is how i feel but if you provide me lyrical eveidence to show me an alternate meaning of what this song is about i would appreciate it.

I really like the single, its sounds very different from her other material. I'm actually excited for her new album. I was impressed by her vocals on this song. But its true that Ne-yo sucks at writing songs.

Russian Roulette sounds like a song Beyonce would have passed on because it's not good enough. This would have been a B-side on Rihanna's last album!

It's not a bad song, but it's definitely mediocre. And it's definitely not a first single on one of the most anticipated songs of the year!

The song and production are both seriously lacking!

I Love Rihanna, but her new song isnt 1st single material, especially how anticipated her new album is. its alright. it might grow on me, hopefully they realize its not a first single choice, and release a different more upbeat song as a single.

her vocals on this song were fantastic though..

The girl's voice just isn't all that great, but its nice to hear her using it to its full potential, I guess.

Sounds like the tone of her album (at least going by this song) will be dark and edgy. Along with her image.

And Rihanna is throwing me for a loop with this new image. Is she in a cult now, worshiping the devil or something? I'm not too much liking the whole new act. Or whatever it is. Its like she took the whole "good girl gone bad" thing jus a tad too far and is on a whole nother level with it. Just a BIT extreme, girlfriend. !oops!

Thats a dumb thing to say.


The title of the song is Russian Roulette. The song is about Russian Roulette so the connection was made. Rihanna is describing all the emotions one feels when playing Russian Roulette.

I'm not even a huge fan of her. She's not the greatest singer.

However, this song isn't half bad. It's just not great.

I like it too, it isn't radio friendly, but I like it, and I bet you it leaps to #1

I don't think the song is bad, but I don't think it is single material. It feels incomplete to be honest.

Btw I do like her image and style evolving from good girl gone bad. Either way I think this song has a lot to do with symbolism I just wish her first single was more diva and empowerment type of song.

Ballads suck as first singles and she doesn't have a voice to pull off a slow song that would be a hit.

I can't see this as being her first single. It's just not catchy or has any appeal to me.

If she released this as a single it would be a big hit. She's better at club hits like the song with Sean Paul (why no video for that one?) , Pon De Replya and this one that I just posted.

All her ballads blow.
