I heard the song on the radio for the first time tonight, well twice they played like three hours apart on the R&B & Hip-Hop station in my local area. I was so shocked, because it's not R&B at all. I really like it!

That's what I was thinking "it's not very radio friendly", but a solid song. However, I felt the same way about "Umbrella" and it wind up being a worldwide megahit. Maybe she can release an uptempo single that will go with this so that she can get some radio play...

His tour will be in smaller venues in a select number of cities such as the Fox Theatre in Atlanta to see how well his persona is doing. If it bodes well he will push forward with his album, but if it doesn't then he will push the album back for awhile.

That's a surprise because I felt that urban radio wasn't going to play this at all. The only urban station I could see playing this would be possibly WPGC 95.5 in DC because they tend to play crossover songs...

Thats the same thing the HATERS like you said about Take A Bow, "oh its so boring," and then it went onto number 1 and stayed in the top 3 on billboard for months. And was also a worldwide smash.

So keep on hating we love it. All your hate makes the song even more successul.

What I meant by Britney meeting her match was how can someone so talentless put out such trash and have people jizz all over themselves. In that sense Rihanna is starting to match her.

Isn't that the gist of most of the Entertainment forum.

No matter that Whitney Houston's release was the biggest by a female artist this year or that Britney Spear's single was the first to debut at #1 in year.

it's about quantity to these people, not quality.

I like Rihanna, and I think she deserves success after the nightmare of a year she's had, but this song is going to be a big old flop. I like the darkness of it, and her voice is the strongest it's ever been, but it's just too dull to be a pop hit.

what I was getting at is the style and structure of that song evokes Rihanna like nothing else. The "eh, eh, eh, eh's" and the strong pulsating synth beats; that's her in her comfort zone, that's her distinctive style that separates her from the pack. Even when another singer comes a sings a song similar to that structure, you immediately think that they're biting off of what made her so successful.

you're joking right? that just goes to show rihanna has nothing to do with any of it.
ANYONE can "sing' those songs
