Apparently there is a bonus track called "Hole in my head" with Justin Timberlake.I'm not going to say a word, except I understand why it wasn't on the cd.

That is a damn shame

That track with that semi-original beat and killer melody would be a solid album track.

I normally love shit like that but I feel violated.

I gave the CD a listen today.

Ugh.

Two major MAJOR problems with this album. First off, Rihanna as a presence barely registers. Not only is she autotuned like mad (no surprise in this day and age), but most of the songs are close to a monotone. Thus she ends up more or less reciting (or muttering) these lyrics rather than singing them. And then there's the songs - they ain't no damn good. They don't sound horrible, but they make no impression at all. I can't remember how any of them went three songs later. The one about "You can see my heart beating" was the closest thing to a memorable and well-performed song, but the bit about "You can see right through my chest" was odd, and it sort of knocked the song off-kilter.

Pass.

Only if they DID something with it. Even as short as it is, I felt it overstayed its welcome...

Well My thoughts on this record is not that bad actually

Some songs are pretty cool and I've laways liked rihanna with the "te amo", "Rude boy" vibe...

Rihanna's voice is pretty blah... Nothing special, she tries hard, but thanks to computers she sounds awesome

and G. I love Mad house and it would have been a killer song with a huge potential

The only songs I'm really liking are
- Te Amo
- Rude Boy
- Hard
- Mad House
- Rockstar
- Stupid in Love

Rihannas best Russian Roulette performance to date


When Rihanna started hitting and nailing those highnotes i had an instant orgasm and my sperms had goosebumps on them.

The audience went wild everytime Rihanna hit the notes out of the park.

Rihanna needs to record a live version of this song and submit the live version to the Grammys and she is sure to get her first vocal nomination. The album version is subpar because when you listen to it you can clearly tell that Rihanna was holding back. Russian Roulette needed a couple highnotes to make it soar and Rihanna finally delivered.

Yes, its really good lyrically. I would not be surprized if it got a SOTY nomination.


But its her live performances of the song that has blown me away and blown my load.

I can't believe how much power Rihannas voice has. Yes she will never be Celine Dion but Rihanna can hold her own vocally.

I keep replaying the highnotes over and over...i have no sperm left.

This thread is more about Rihannas album. So then you make it seem like Rated R is a great album which it is.

Wait a minute...why am i bitching then...Keep it as it is because Rated R is not bad at all.
 
OK, Ryan Tedder hinted at the fact that a re-release of Rated R is already in the works. I think its a bit too soon for my taste but whatever.
