I've been aboard for several years, and enjoy the site hugely. I suppose the main reason I have not declared myself earlier is because I am much, much older than most of you. I think I might be the oldest man of you all. I frequently read some unkind, even
contemptuous remarks about old farts, geezers,etc. I know something, however, that may not have registered on younger minds: you will arrive in elderland far, far sooner than you think or would like. So, Be Kind!

WELCOME!!! I am delighted you have decided to break your silence. We have members of ALL ages and dispositions. You may have read posts that are not that kind ...but we also have PLENTY of posts that are just the opposite.
Some of our most treasured members are our older ones..So please start posting in the discussion forums. Have fun!:wave:

Welcome to posting and I wouldn't worry about the young bucks none too much. They can say what they want and feel the way they do, but we (people like you and I, having been around the block a time or two) know in time and anguish, the sometimes pompous attitudes and hard core black and white statments of thought will give way after a through stomping by life in general. Plus beauty is but a fleeting moment in time and all the things once distained and ridiculed will one day be theirs to have and hold. Life gives balance eventually.

Having said that, I have found most here to be very considerate and good natured. Most would likely make very good friends and the age distribution is quite a spread. I like the vast majority of the JUBBERS I have seen on these boards and in time you will too. Just post and keep on posting. Your thoughts are important and so would be your advice.
