I've already commented on this. It's his body, it's his right to do what he wants. If you dissaprove, then you need to weigh out whether aesthetics or a real relationship is more important to you.

If he gets a grey hair, please don't make another thread 'now he's got a grey hair'.

my bf was like that....he had 2 or 3 ear piercings which looked really good....then.....he went fuckin wild!!!!....

got a nose horseshoe, a spike labret --- a spike sticking straight out of his lower lip......a few bigger ear piercings, and......and......

a BAR through his *ahem*....uhhhh....thinginy.....and shaved his head.........

all at once........I was frightened.....and angry I hadn't been consulted........but...

i loved him....the whole package.....and i helped him care for his wounds.....

and helped him groom a new look...and DAMN....he was HOT...!!!!!!....and we rocked around town looking bad together........

and over a few months, most of the piercings were gone or replaced with a much subtler look.....

and he was HOT...and we were happy (end of tale)...

maybe it's a phase.......

W-87A) It's his body, he can do what he wants.

First off, why are you mad about the tattoo? Because you think tattoos are ugly right? Please refer to section W-87A.

Second, you like the piercings. Again he did this without you knowing, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Please refer to section W-87A.

Third, flip the situation around. Say you want to wear some shirt that you really liked, and he got very mad at you for wearing it... Please refer to section W-87A.

Conclusion: Is your relationship with him worth destroying over personal preference? There's no grey area in my opinion, either you say yes or no to that... and I think that's your answer.

Sorry if I'm blunt, harsh, or cruel. I'm a dick, and we are what we eat.

So you're turned on by piercings and not tattoos.. nothing so big.

Although i'm not sure why you're so freaked about such a little tattoo.

Patrick, like I said before, as long as you love the person inside, the outside doesn't matter.....

Have you told him that you'd consider breaking up with him over a tattoo? I think he'd like to know.

I think tattoos and piercings can be hot or horrid, depending.

Patrick, like I said before, as long as you love the person inside, the outside doesn't matter.....

To quote Liar, Liar: "No, that's just something ugly people say to make themselves feel better."

Tattoos are not clothing--especially ugly ones.

It's not tattoo vs. clothing.

I'm talking about the concept that if he dissapproved of something you did, and told you stop or you and him would break up, doesn't that seem a bit shallow? Personally, I think you need to bend a little and just let him be who he is, not threaten to leave a perfectly good relationship over a tattoo... unless it was a nazi symbol or something...

Oh come on....

I wouldn't kick him out of my bed even if he got his entire body tatooed!

Well...Maybe I'm lying there just a little bit...

But this guy is seriously good looking, and you can't just let some little tatoo and nipple rings get between a good relationship.

Perhaps, subconsciously (and this is only a perhaps I'm no psychotherpist....) you're actually searching for a reason to break up with him? I'm not saying you're unhappy in the relationship, or he isn't the guy you're looking for...But that some part of you isn't ready for a serious relationship and is trying desperatly to find a little reason to give you doubt about the whole thing...

That sounds somewhat plausable, of course...I could be off base, seeing as I don't know you all that well.

Just a thought.

Pat:

Your BF is quite the "cutie-patootie" and a real keeper!

I think he got the tat in honor of your name-sake (St. Patrick; with the Shamrock, etc).

Get it?

.......and, he's trying to spice up your love-life with the piercings on his tits...

Unless he goes completely "wild" getting tats all over his beautiful bod, I would NOT fret too much...........

So long as he loves you and continues to "take you to worlds unknown with his sexual prowess"!!

Continue your communications with each other and learn how you both "tick" concerning the affairs of the heart!(*8*) (*8*)

I think that epicAdam is nearer to the truth.

We old, wrinkled and skinny guys also say it is the inside that matters but we are only kidding ourselves knowing that we are no longer attractive to those we find attractive.

Thank goodness, though, some people find attractive what others find ugly so with a little luck most of us are able to find someone who finds us physically attractive enough to get to know the person inside.

patrickthesaint.

I kinda hope you're kidding a bit.

THIS IS NOT A REAL PROBLEM.

If you think it is, then I really hope you never have another one....

i'm sorry to hear that.i think he should've thought about your feeling and discuss about this matter with you first.

the hottest place....lower back

don't you love him for who he is, not what he's wearing?
If it really is a deal breaker, move on.
But don't try and make him who you want him to be.

I just saw his pics and it's a nice tatt.
Also noticed his captions that indicate a little bit of low self esteem and basically a message to you that if you didn't like his tatt, he'll find someone who will.

If you do love him, make him feel great about his decisions and about who he is, even if you don't like some things. cuz frankly, it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

LOL

with all the threads on dogs, I thought this was about gettign your dog fixed and skipped it

hahah

well let me just say that nipple peircings are really sexy

i wish we all had them

I find a tattoo band around the upper thigh a complete turn-on.

Most unfortunate the first one I saw was in a communal gym shower; had to turn up the cold water FAST.

Never had I been affected by a tattoo like that before.

Oooh I'm too big of a baby to get anything pierced. I do think about it though :) piercings are really sexy

now, if he was to get tattoo's over 99% of his body, not to mention pierceings everywhere imaginable.. then I'd worry.

That tattoo isn't that small. It's pretty big. and the lower back tattoo he's talking about (that we'll probably break up over) is going to be bigger.

If you are going to break up with him over a tattoo he put on his own body, I think he deserves someone better. You do not control his body, it is his, and NOONE else. If you cannot accept it, move on, if he was smart he would move on first.
