even though i think it's sad that it takes somebody's favorite rapper to make someone open their eyes on someone being discriminated for something trival such as being gay in 2012, i would rather that than the other way around. jay is using his power for good. more people should come forward.

i witnessed my father's views towards gays change when obama gave his support towards us gays. i think that a lot of people might change their views when they look at people that they respect turning towards the light. in the long run, it helps me out because it minimizes the impact that it'll have on family and friends when i come out to them.
