Nude Man Brewing Coffee In His Own Kitchen Arrested For Indecent Exposure

Whaaat - arrested for accidental exposure. Puh-leeze!

At 5:30 in the morning, it's still dark outside. He had just gotten out of bed, come down the stairs, into the kitchen and made a pot of coffee.
....
At most, the police should have given him a warning to keep his curtains drawn if he was going to walk about his house in the nude.

Agreed - a warning from the police should have sufficed. Lot of assumptions that he deliberately flaunted himself. The women & child were walking past and apparently saw him. Whatever happened to minding your own business (privacy), or making sure your child doesn't see (good parenting), or having a polite word with the person after the fact?

a lot of people think that you can do what ever you like just because you are in your own home. you cannot. you cannot expose yourself to the public through your windows, you cannot do anything that would cause alarm to the public, such as exposing yourself or yelling obscenities and the like. in most places, I guess NYC is the exception, you cannot fuck or jerk off in front of your window, it's called indecent exposure, public lewdness. it's illegal.

i am not condoning what this woman did, or even taking the guys side. i just want to clarify that you can't do whatever you want just because you are in your home.

just the next caravan eh?;)

I saw that on the news last nite. They (police ) said that he wanted to be seen. To me ; if you want to walk around your own home nude. please close the blinds. Because people will call the cops on you .

Perhaps the woman saw something she wanted and couldn't have. At any rate I agree with the above, but this is" a tempest in a tea pot" or much adoo about pretty much nothing. Think about it, what seven year old on the way to school with his mother is looking into people's windows, much less would have drawn his mother's attention to a naked man.

My partner and I are pretty much nude all the time at home (he is a local police chief), so keep the drapes drawn and relax. I say, "People ought to get a life." Damn voyeurs, they should be arrested too.

thx shep, its been a few das since someon:(e let me feel less than stupid useless or too fucking old

:rotflmao:  :dead:

People are SO hung-up about sexuality. It's his own fucking house, he should be able to do what he wants inside of it. What the fuck was this bitch doing staring into his windows anyway? As an above poster said, if you look into someone's windows, be prepared to see what's behind them.
They're not hung up on sexuality. She was with her 7-year-old kid. Not a 13 year old. I think what she did was perfectly reasonable. He should of closed the blinds. If he can see outside, then he should know people can obviously see inside.

Knowing the curtains were open, I due think he wanted to be seen.

In the US, you cannot use four-letter words around children, or talk about sex around them, or let them see nudity.

Are kids allowed in locker rooms over there?

Just wondering - at my conference at the ski resort in Colorado, I didn't take any special precautions in the locker room where the jacuzzi was... I was as naked as jaybird. Nobody seemed to complain.

She may be but I seriously doubt the kid could tell the guy was pantless. Look at the bush that cover the underside of the window. It's thick. I don't think 7 year old would be tall enough to see pass through it. And besides what's so wrong about kids seeing an adult naked body. It's not like he is doing sexual things. He just drinking a coffee.

On a side note, the prude deserve what she saw. She should have known better not to look into other people house.
You're right, the prude did get what she deserved; the exhibitionist arrested.

In the US, you cannot use four-letter words around children, or talk about sex around them, or let them see nudity. Extreme, graphic violence is ok, but no sex or curse words. The children's impressionable young minds must be protected. Otherwise they will grow up to use four-letter words and enjoy sex.

And notice that the potential penalty for indecent exposure in this man's jurisdiction is up to a $2,000 fine and a year in jail.

Please back this bullshit up.

He wasn't masturbating or fucking somebody.
How does seeing a naked person harm a 7-year-old?
You say this like you're a 7-year-old yourself. It's a fact that young children are highly impressionable by nature, not by nurture. She was protecting her son from any hard that could arise from seeing that. For example, standing naked in front of his own houses window thinking it's okay. Thoughts linger in kids.

This would be ridiculous if this woman was by herself, but she was with a child.

If it was 5:30 in the morning I doubt he could have seen outside.

The official stance is, well, arrest people drinking coffee with no clothes on in their own homes, apparently. I fully expect a SWAT team will burst in on me in the shower next time I take a vacation Stateside and will be rather disappointed if they don't.

I can picture it: "HEY! I know my rights! I demand a cavity search!"

She was taking a shortcut along a path on private property. (Some of the reports say it was across his front yard, which would explain how she was able to see through his front window.)

If the path was on his property, which it sounds like it was, he should file a charge against her for trespassing.

Yes; making coffee naked is not exhibitionism. Indeed if I were secluded in the privacy of my own home enjoying naked coffee time, and some noise alerted me to intruders on my property, I would not dress first to investigate. I know someone who was awoken from a deep sleep by the noises of an intruder. He chased a burglar out of his house whilst still he was still in the nude, and then pinned the guy, and held him there until the police arrived, all without any clothing. Take that, criminals! You lose at naked wrestling!

This woman would have been trespassing and is possessed of a tremendous sense of entitlement to meddle in other peoples' lives in the most egregious way.

If you're peeping into someone's house you should be prepared to see what's in it.

Completely AGREED. He was in in HIS house, minding is OWN business. I didn't watch or read the whole story but it sounds like he was totally unaware that anyone was around. I also agree that closed blinds would have helped, but big deal get over it! I really think that she is doing more harm that good. This whole thing just annoys me.

This woman is not human! Yeah she might have been disturbed, pissed, or whatever, but what is she achieving by calling the cops??????????????? She is a dumb bitch that has nothin better to do besides walking around with her kid in the morning peeping into people's homes? THAT IS FREAKY! I bet the police didn't do anything other than give a warning, or else that's fucked up! Yeah he should sue her bitch ass.

1) The guy didn't just "pass by the window"; he, by his own admission, stopped in front of the window in order to enjoy the coffee. And if the bushes were high enough to hide him from a 7-yr old, they would have been high enough to hide the guy himself, or at least the salient parts. Even if they were cutting through his front yard, they would have had to walk pretty close to the window in order to see anything; in which case, they should get nailed for trespassing and possibly voyeurism.

Like I said earlier: If you want privacy, pull the blinds. Otherwise, you really don't have room to complain when people start calling the cops on you for screwing the cow. Yeesh.

2)

I don't know what kind of drugs you're on, but they need changing. Between Maxim, Spike TV, and video games, young kids have plenty of access to sex and nudity. Heck, bother watching daytime TV on broadcast channels sometimes; you'll see plenty of discussion about sex. And that's ignoring normal conversations or the ED commercials. The US may be puritanical in origin, but it's not THAT bad....

It's interesting that if this article had taken place anywhere else in the world, it would have been ignored. But because it's yet another chance to bash America, it's being blown out of proportion.

Because if it happened in another part of the world, the woman and her kid wouldn't have had any problem with the guy being naked.

^ what the gargoyle said.
As far as I know being nude isn't even illegal here when "done" in public.

I agree with Phoenix.

Yes, you are right on one thing, children are impressionable. But I'm not quite sure what you are saying that impression is? I highly doubt that he would grow up to walk around naked in his own house. He would have a better chance of being influenced by his mother's actions and this boy will be a "tattle tail" in school.

What hard could possibly arise from seeing a naked person? You sound like Freud trying to psychoanalyze some nonsense. Yes, it's very unappropriate for a child to see some random stranger naked, maybe the mother should have thought about trespassing on others' property! Maybe she will learn her lesson.

Also, I doubt that the incident wouldn't have lingered very long in the kid's mind if they just minded their own business, but she had to go and call the police making such a big scene. Well yeah, now it will linger in the kid's mind.

So it's completely fine for a 13 year old to see a naked stranger, but it's so much more immoral for a 7 year old to see it? LMAO
