Nudity

I seldom wear clothing while at home..........except when entertaining friends and family

I have often considered locating & joining an outdoor clothing optional group but have yet to find a group I am comfortable joining

Hey, based on where I live, wearing clothes is definitely a good idea. My heating bill is high enough as it is. I'm not anti-nudity, but I'm not very comfortable being nude, either. Just not used to it, and don't see the need to change my ways now.

When noone can see you.. hmmmmm
Where the heater's on, you nit.
You might re-visit this question after Easter when the last chance of frost is passed. Just don't wait until June when bare thighs fuse to hot leather car seats.

Because most people are ugly and we don't want to see them.

Funny that you claim Atheists are the obstacle to nudity, considering I'm pretty sure it'd be the religious people with the most objections.

Was it Atheists complaining about Janet's titty?

"Modesty is a concept in the minds of people looking to be offended".

That's from a sociology class, as best I can remember it.

I just about went nude on the beach here today. It was only 62 F, but the air was still. Then I had to track down the wandering canine I'm puppy-sitting, and by the time I had him back in hand, the temperature was on its way down.

I didn't claim... that I was asking wether atheist lost their bodily inhibitions with their faith.

From an evolutionary perspective is it not strange for us to lose fur and then soon after replace it. What was the benefit to losing fur?

Um... to improve the economy by making, selling, buying clothes? :p

Why lose the hair?

Evolutionarily speaking, male sexual dimorphism is generally driven by females' preferences. Str8 girls generally hate hairy men (there are, of course, exceptions).

So blame it all on Stacy.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Just kidding.

Human females generally prefer less hair on men.

But we had to keep warm and dry.

Hence: clothes.

Well, then those damn gays came along, and then we had fashion!

Some of my cousins are very casual about nudity, but my family was very uptight about it. But anything beyond underwear was just about keeping warm, not Christian modesty.

clothes fulfill a lot of duties

1) they are a status symbol
2) they help you look better
3) they show your taste
4) they are a good way of expressing your thoughts, exhibiting something your proud about, or supporting something
5) they help you hide somethings you dont want everyone to see..like flabs/scars etc..
6) the protect you [the obvious one]..not only from cold but from other things too
7) they help you stand out or blend in

etc...

Nudism or Naturism is a lifestyle in harmony with nature, expressed through social nudity, and characterised by self-respect of people with different opinions and of the environment. At one end of the spectrum are the nudists who just enjoy a nude life style, and at the other are the naturists, who have deeply held beliefs and see communal nudity as just one of many important principles.

It has its own benefit...being one with nature..establishing equality..being proud of what you have...being comfortable with yourself...being comfortable with other people being themselves . Plus sometimes it can be healthy too...if you are suffering from diseases like TB, rheumatism and scrofula .. sunlight can be helpful [such treatment is known as heliotherapy i think..i am not sure]

Why not regrow fur?

Why lose the fur in first place?

why we had fur???
how odd
i don't remember

any way it's -14 C and -29C with the windchill factor
that's canadian winter in toronto
i like my nice warm clothes and coat.

Apparently this should all be in a quotation box.

actually only the definition should be...which is the first line of the paragraph..anyways your point being? are you hear o point out some one else's grammar mistakes or to stick o the point and have a decent conversation?

ps:- it would help if you dont have anything relevant to post..to not post at all

But if we are nude, what will we do with the resources used to make clothes?

Why do we wear clothes? Why shed our alleged fur to then invent clothes?

Are atheist unafraid of exposing their genitalia now that they don't believe the myth of Adam and Eve?

Will mass nudity ever happen in a "modern society". (Outside of an artists stunt)

1. Perhaps we shed our alleged fur while still living in the tropical climates, and as humans migrated north, clothing was in demand.

2. Who said they were afraid in the first place?

3. No.

Did you have an opinion on any of this?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From a biological standpoint.

Why do we wear clothes? Why shed our alleged fur to then invent clothes?

Are atheist unafraid of exposing their genitalia now that they don't believe the myth of Adam and Eve?

Will mass nudity ever happen in a "modern society". (Outside of an artists stunt)

And yet there are still nudist camps!!

the opinion was on this... wasnt it obvious? considering the fact that i had already expressed on the main questions you posted.

I only mentioned as I was run roughshod over here again and again because I had quoted something without stating that I had.

I was relentlessly called a plagarist and liar.

So I am just applying what seems to be unspoken forum rule!!

this is not an university..
