have loved the Mets for a long time

they have the goods this year I think

Great defense - Reyes, Wright, Beltran

Power - Beltran, Wright, Delgado, Floyd

Relief Pitching - Sanchez, Heilman, Bradford, Wagner

Pitching Experience - Glavine, Pedro

Good Bench - Nady, Valentin, Woodward, Franco

and great team chemistry

lotta fun to watch

LET'S GO METS

I've been a Braves fan for years but . . . give props where they're due.

The Mets will easily win the NL East this year (breaking the Braves 14 year streak) and should go far into the playoffs.

Enjoy the season!

Absolutly, They currently have the best record in baseball, .624
Nice to see David Wright swingin the bat again after his little cooling off period.
Chance mentioned Nady, but he was traded, however Green has been filling that void very nicely. I also want to give nods to Tucker and Bradford. As for the pitching lets not forget John Maine who has had some really decent starts.
With triple A ending and the roster extending there will no stopin the Mets
oh, let's not forget Willy Randolph who has done a fantastic job

Been a Mets fan for nearly three decades and the fact they will finish this off with a 20 game lead is excellent but stopping the Braves' consecutive divisional win streak is simply icing on the cake!!

Yeah watching Atlanta and Boston crash and burn has been awesome.
I am really hoping for a NY subway series and with the yankees building up momentum again it looks like a real possibity.

Mets have an awesome team.

They'll be even better next year.

I believe they have a prospect who'll play Triple AAA next year named Carlos Lopez,a Dominican who is very close already with Jose Reyes, and has five-tool talent as a center fielder probably playing left or right next year because the way at CF is currently blocked, and for a long while,by Mr.Beltran.He supposedly is,at 6'4 and 205 pounds at 20 years of age, faster than Reyes,if possible.Plays the game with great enthusiasm and passion and has been compared for flair and electricity to Willie Mays.If the Mets hold on to him,and they keep Lastings Milledge(still debatable) and with Carlos Beltran, that should be some outfield for 2008 (or maybe even late next season)

they just need to find a good defensive second baseman with an adequate bat,and make a full steam run At Barry Zito, who could be lethal with his outstanding curve in the National League, and also reunited with his former pitching guru,Rick Peterson. With that, and good development out of John Maine and Mike Pelfrey, they look strong for years to come.

Re: NY Mets - anyone a fan -YES YES YES~~~~~~

All Mets fan celebrate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:gogirl: (!) :-({|=(To The Yanks) All METS FANS GO TO YOUR WINDOW, OPEN IT AND SCREAM AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS===> "LET'S GO METS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" :hurray: :thewave: :wow:

I'm looking forward to facing probably St. Louis...and taking them in six.I think our pitching is still shaky, but our diversified offense will give them fits!LET'S GO METS!!!!!!

I have always been a Mets fan, but living in NY most of my friends are Yankee fans
I have had a lot of fun the last few days razzing all the Yankee fans:badgrin:
What is interesting is that since the Yankees are out of it, most of them now are rooting for the Mets to win it.
Like one said, "it's all about the game, if you love baseball you gotta give the Mets credit" Soooooooo

I agree 110% I'm a died hard Yankee fan..but I love Willie Randolph and he has turned that club around

Glad to hear that, I can tell you are a fan of the game, as you say ya gotta respect what Willie has done with that team. Leland has done wonders with the Tigers as well. I am hoping for a Mets/Tigers World Series. Two scrappy, hungry, hard working teams who have dominated their divisions all year and deserve to be in the series.

You think the METS' pitching is shaky?? LOL STL's bullpen has been giving me heart palpitations all year...I do think you guys will win the series, but I will still be rooting for my Birdnals until the last out. Hopefully Scott Rolen will be healthy, pull his head out of his ass, and start hitting something besides air for once :D

At least the Yankees aren't in it this year!! That is one thing that I don't mind at all. I just hate them so much (no offense to Yanks fans).

anyways, GO CARDS!! (!) ..|

ive been a mets fan for years and went to the parade when they won the series in 86. randolph has done a hell of a job with them but dont forget minaya who went out and got willie the players he needed. I hate the yankees with a passion, arougant SOBs, glad they were humiliated by the tigers. I think they are going all the way this year. if they can keep pujols from coming up with runners on base then they stand a great chance. the mets have a more balanced lineup then the cards do and a hell of a better bullpen. I do like Tony LaRussa though, real class act, one of the best managers in baseball ever.

I'm not a true Mets fan, but I was pulling for them they had a great year and I think they will only get better. I hope they don't get better than my Yank's.

I'm still proud of the Mets...They were great this year....Good luck Cards and Tigers fans everywhere!!!!!! I do hope the National League pulls it out.....

ive been a mets fan for years and when they lost the other night almost put my fist through my tv set.
