Not until they learn to act like big boys and girls.

The utterly stupid, ridiculous clusterfuck that's in Albany is the perfect example of why some citizens decide not to pay their taxes. Someone finally realized as much, so they're not getting any more money until they get back to work.

Seeing as how the mostly crooked, idiotic politicians running the New York State Senate have grinded their work to a complete stoppage due to a leadership standoff that's involved everything from locking the other party out of the chambers, to screaming matches, to making face-slashers a crucial factor in New York politics, it's about goddamn time we stop feeding the zoo's inhabitants. State comptroller Thomas "The Clench" DiNapoli has stopped paying the New York Senate until they get their shit in gear. He's withholding their paychecks along with $560,000 worth of travel vouchers until they get back to work. Naturally, they're pissed.

Yeah, I've been following this for a while

Gov. Patterson has been ballsy about this whole situation, which surprised me...

I hope all of them get kicked out of the NYS Senate, all them!

You have senator diaz to blame for the mess.

The democrats had a one person lead until diaz got pissed off that the governor wanted to legalize same sex marriage. So diaz decided to switch to the republican side and now both parties are fighting over who should have control over the senate.

If the republicans get what they want, same sex will be illegal in new york (again).

New York has always had one of the most dysfunctional state Legislatures.

This is well chronicled throughout history.

While I am no fan of Governor David Patterson, I give him credit for the steps he has tried to to take to get the Senate to stop acting like a bunch of spoiled partisan children, and get on with the business of trying to run our dysfunctional state.

Need more proof of how messed up New York is? In the movie "1776" (which was made in the 1970s) Robert Morris doesn't vote on any issue, saying "New York abstains, courteously..." This eventually gets to Continental Congress President John Hancock, who bellows "What in hell goes on in New York?" Morris goes on to explain that he had never received explicit instructions on how to vote because nobody in the New York Legislature gets along.

It was true over 200 years ago, and it's still true now...

It disgusts me as life-long New Yorker. And you can count on it, that I will be voting against the incumbants every chance that I can!

Pattinson has nothing to do with this. This is all the comptroller

Diaz is still a Democrat as far as I know. He had nothing to do with this.
