He failed to get a single Republican on board in the House for his economic package -- that's pretty sad.

if anything, the Republicans have already given up their old ways. They don't like the stimulus plan cause it has a lot of unneeded spending in it. ever thought that maybe bush administration isnt influencing the house right now? maybe theyre making better decisions then the dems? prolly not, cause everyone's wrapped up in how great obama is/might be

Sad for the Republicans. You can't force petty people to give up their petty ways. Just look at some posters around here.

It's only a fallacy if it is untrue. They just lost an election cycle, and their counter-argument was absurd and only attempts to further inflation by requiring government to borrow even more. Spending drives a fiat economy.

The fallacy was describing them as petty -- all of them.
