Obama insensitive?

Joe Medicine Crow never won the Medal of Honor, he won the Presidential Medal of Freedom. It's totally stupid on Obama's part because he was the one that awarded it.

There's nothing quite like emotionless robotic reading, from a teleprompter about a nut job who just gunned down Americans. It comes across as horribly scripted and fake.
I guess he should have asked Reagan before he died how to fake sadness. Reagan was the pro you know!

I can't read minds like you.Obama might be one of the most sincere Presidents in history for all I know. But he sucks at using the teleprompter.
idk, he looks like all the other presidents reading off teleprompters and note cards. but for some reason, unbeknownst to me, there is a problem with it now?

The trolls are out in full force today.

........everything......Obama.........does......is.....bad........

Obama.........looked.........wrong........so........he......is......bad.......

Obama......didn't.........react......correctly......

Fox......says......Obama.....bad......so......Obama.....bad.......

Geeeez.....

Grow up already.

Yeah, that was retarded. But Bush would've done the exact same thing.

Wow, that makes it worse actually.

No, Bush wouldn't have; his handlers weren't that dumb. He would have tried to look grave, and stammered and stumbled his way through a collection of sentences that expressed real feelings in a homey kind of disjointed way. But he would have put the matter of the massacre first.

Bush was supposed to be intelligent; his IQ was estimated/calculated as being on par with JFK. Obama is supposed to be far more intelligent, but as with Bush, I'm beginning to wonder where he put the IQ points he obviously isn't using to be president.

He had to know that the news networks were waiting on him, waiting to hear him talk about the tragedy, and that the moment he walked to the podium a whole array of eyes in the nation would be waiting for some words of explanation or comfort or assurance about the shootings. All I can ask, then, is "What the frak was he thinking?" -- and the only answer I can find is... he wasn't.

I despised McCain (still do), and though I viewed Obama's positions as dangerous for America, I at least expected him to do his job well. But with one year under his belt now, my expectations have been hammered at repeatedly. At this point, I'm not convinced we have much more than the boob our last president was.

Obama wasn't at a press conference either, he was at a meeting of native american tribes who had come from all over the country to meet with him. He gave a brief press conference later on Friday.
I'll still take Obama, thanks.

When he's got network news waiting for him to speak on a subject, it's effectively a press conference.

Take Obama? I don't want either of them, any more.

Though I didn't want either of them to begin with.

Just a really quick non partisan comment.

Presidents deal with on a daily basis the threat of nuclear war and or biological war along with making sure a whole lot of other things that are god awful get taken care of. It's no surprise to me that he may not show a huge amount of feelings...

Why would someone deliberately "try" to ruin his own country? If he was doing that wouldn't he be bombing the shit out of the US right now?

I don't get it.

lol your being sarcastic? or im being incredibly dense? or neither, in which case, you should watch steven colbert, you would think hes a republican #-o

He must have become numb after smelling burning flesh from bombed wedding parties in Afghanistan or something...I wonder what it is.

I dont think Obama actually smells the burning flesh. He is on the other side of the world.

However, he sure does like to bomb wedding parties. Every time there is an "error" in bombing, it is always a wedding party that gets hit.

I've watched Colbert, and I have yet to see anything that would make me think he's a Republican, though there have been things which suggest he is a republican.

That's a way of saying that without upper case letters, it's hard to know what you're talking about. Colbert plainly believes that individual/minority rights trump the popular will, which makes him a republican, but he plainly doesn't like the political party which has brought shame to that name.

Ronald Reagan was an actor who could play sincerity. He was one of the worst and most corrupt presidents in history. There are still some people dumb enough to think he was any good.

And there are also people dumb enough to believe he was only an actor with no intellect or political skills. They ignore his years of speeches and dedication to the conservative cause and freedom and love of country. I know they are usually members of the blame America crowd so it is not in any way surprising. Read his diaries and learn. He was a very wise man and a gifted orator. Wisdom is sorely lacking in both parties right now. Without wisdom intellect is ineffective at best. He was inspirational when we needed it. We need some of it now. After you listen to an Obama speech you feel like the future is bleak and if he gets his way it will be

True. Ronny would have done a much better job with the Fort Hood matter than Obama -- Obama is far too much the professor, following the list he's made, too removed from real life to have a feel for people's sensitivities.

Reagan wasn't exceptionally bright, but there are times when being exceptionally bright is not an asset. Obama could use a large helping of Reagan's touch for the people and daily reality.

Oh so true. Obama is very stiff and impersonal with everything. In all his speeches, he rarely conveys much emotion except for when he is making a joke. That is probably one of the problems with Obama, especially as he continues to stay in the public eye.

For all the convincing Obama can do with his speeches, imagine if he had the acting ability of Ronald Reagan. That man would probably be able to sway the most hardened republicans...or Hilary Clinton democrats (but that's stretching it a little)

To be honest, I think of all the candidates for president, only McCain had that feeling that he was connected with the everyday man. Fuck Joe the Plumber and his bullshit, McCain felt genuine. Hilary had the same disconnected problem as Obama.
