I thought Obama could not win primaries

Maryland 61% (and basically split the white vote)

this is astounding

this is the change we have been waiting for

It really was astounding series of wins for Obama. McCain just edged out Huckabee, who is in the race for shits and grins. Yet Obama defeated a serious candidate in Hillary Clinton by overwhelming numbers.
 
Its great he won big in these three
states. I wish he would start to do more
campaigning in Ohio. He needs Ohio
badly and right now hes not doing well
there. Also today former Ohio Senator John Glenn and Gov. Ted Strickland
endorsed Hillary Clinton. Obama needs Ohio.
He can't afford to lose both Ohio and
Texas. If I were him I would forget
campaigning in Wisconsin and start
hitting Ohio hard.

Since delegates are doled out proportionately, he actually can afford to lose both states as long as it's not by huge margins like the ones he won by tonight. By competing and winning in Wisconsin he can help build up an even bigger cushion going into those states and keep his momentum going.
 
Obama will win Wisconsin, a 6% black state, which continues momentum, enhances electability, and puts further the rest the tired racist canard that only blacks are voting for Obama and whites won't for him

like last Saturday's sweep was expected and that is why she didn't campaignm there (but she did)

like she skipped VA and MD (hell no she didn't... until very recently when the polling was clear)

like it will be expected when she loses Wisconsin next - big

like she can lose and lose and lose and lose and claim its "expected" so it doesn't count?

that is way we played games as small children

have you seen the exit polls?

have you looked at the delegate count?

have you done the math?

I rather prefer my candidate's position right now rather than your candidate's position because we are beginning planning on the November election while your guys are looking for a way to fold - its expected

I don't care what the "fairy tale" is

I am counting delegates

she has to win those three all by more than 60% to have any chance - without considering given the other losses she will have and you expect before, during, and after those three so she is looking at needing at least 65% in those three states each and that is not going to happen - she got only 57% in NY - she is not topping her NY total anywhere let alone get close to what the math requires now

she is sinking fast and the fat lady (a metaphorical fat lady, not a reference to the NY Senator) is on stage

Jack, I agree with your analysis of where the race stands and I share your frustration with 23 excuses for 23 contests, but sometimes I wish you'd try to make your posts a little more educational and a little less confrontational. We're rapidly reaching the point where we're going to need to be united as a party.

i checked on Clinton's 2-5 NY win - she won the state she represents 57% - 40%

for a long time I was all about education (I ot bashed a bit for my "Barack Obama" thread where I listed his accomplishments and placed his speeches) and called for Democratic unity, being all conciliatory, etc

I got beat up a lot - which is ok, politics ain't beanbag -

part of what you confrontational is not at all, I am just stunned and celebrative at watching history play out

part of what you call confrontational is, because politics ain't beanbag and after months of stuff, I am in a mood to hand some stuff back

give me a day or two to get back to being all conciliatory - and if you want some pure education, dredge up some of my threads of the past several months

I hear what you are saying, and appreciative that you say it - as I am appreciative of all your posts since you seem like a cool guy who posts with wisdom -

I will be more gracious in a day or two but after all the shit of the last several months I am still in the political mode of those who have slammed Obama and Obama's supporters (which was essentially just me here for the longest while it seemed)

but a happy part of my mood is history being made - I have been on some roads a long time and Barack Obama just win Virginia, Maryland, DC - it was in my teen aged years that the Supreme Court finally struck down the Virginia law that made marriage between blacks and whites illegal and I have been tear gassed and such along the way and we have come to a place where Obama wins Virginia and Maryland and South Carolina and Georgia and Kansas and Missouri and North Dakota and what this means to me, that we have come this far, I can't explain or contain my jubilation
